Well made but too short
These are really tough for the price. No concerns there. However, when being used they're just a bit too short. Was only able to span two coils of my fairly ordinary hatchback's springs rather than three. Consequently you have to crank these right up such that each arm is touching. This is harder work and actually more dangerous than compressing three coils by the same distance. Can't really recommend based on this experience.

Short length but sturdy
These are very solid in construction and do hold the spring steadily, however you lose a lot of compression due to the way in which the clamps are constructed. Thse are quite short anyway so there's not much length to play with. Did the job however.

22mm socket was too big, 13/16 socket fits MUCH BETTER (same for other people?)
These are absolutely perfect for standard car suspension springs. Slightly shorter in length to give you working room if used while still on the car but really you should take the whole strut and spring off to make life simple. A good sturdy product that does its job!As my headline says, the 22mm socket recommended by the description and packaging was too big, 13/16 fit perfectly though

Good value DIY tool
A good budget tool, ideal for rare DIY use. Some wear occurred caused by metal on metal hard rubbing between the thread and the free running hook that will probably reduce the life of the tool. However it worked in a safe way and was so cheap that even if it only lasts a few times I was happy.

They do the job!
Did the job just fine. Only any use for smaller car springs. The vw transporter HD springs were a bit thick but it still compressed them. Worked fine with an impact driver as long as you tighten them evenly.

Good economic spring compressors
Good for weaker spring types don’t think I would be comfortable compressing a powerful spring with just two of these

Absolute waste of time
Well bought these to change the top strut suspension mount on my citroen dispatch 2.0hdi mk2 and after having spent a couple of hrs taking apart the hub assembly to detach the strut the compressor couldn't compress the spring enough to release it from the strut, so had to put it back together job not done.

Worth the money
Not the best quality but great value for the money. I bought them to use on my van and they did the job well
