I've just bought one of these :-) (Hooray!) Can I ask please - What gauge of string does it come set up with? 9's / 10's ??

Mine came strung with 10's, they're ok and stay in tune well. Great choice on your purchase, i am absolutely delighted with mine, i went for the black version. These guitars ROCK !

Some models of sg had tuning stability problems as a result of a flexible neck/neck joint. has anyone had the same problems with the vintage vs6?

I've had no problems. I don't have to tune mine especially often. I'm no expert, but it seems a good guitar for the price.
