A tool fit for the appropriate job...
Great value and did what I required of it to plane some doors down to fit non standard door frames in an older terraced property.You will not get a master craftsman finish by any stretch and you do get what you pay for however it is fit for certain purposes and provides adequate finishes to appropriate tasks.Easy to set and use.

Really poor quality blade

After that it worked great!
This arrived very quickly, the only problem with it was, the blade was off a bit and my husband had to square it off. After that it worked great!

Irwin Good name in the past
Irwin was a good name in the past but this plane was made in India and was very poor quality, not assembled properly because bits did not fir so shouldn't have been supplied. Had to machine items myself to make it work. Poor quality blade supplied difficult to get an edge.Needed to keep it as was needed to do a job but will not recommend Irwin again.
