I love 100% chocolate; I like that I can access all the natural goodness inherent in this wonder food, without having to add milk and/or sugar just to make it palatable.However, even some is just too bitter for me, and I feel that astringency spoils the complex flavour, rather like a very hot curry cancels out the herbs and flavour of the meat.And so, I’ve been burned before when taking a chance on a new chocolate - as they’re never cheap are they? So it was a nice surprise when I experienced a few squares of this deliciously (and comparatively) mild 100% chocolate.I’ve read a few not so positive reviews regarding the intense flavour - this is 100% chocolate! You’re probably best working your way up to 100% in small increments, and possibly start with the cheaper stuff first too.However, if you’re a seasoned consumer of chocolate like this, you may be pleasantly surprised.The bars may be small, but you get 10 of them, and the price I’d say is fairly reasonable. I’ve paid way more for a less enjoyable experience! Also, it’s worth remembering the nature of the beast - no one gorges themselves on this kind of chocolate! A few squares is enough to fully appreciate the wonderfully complex layers of flavour that reveal themselves to you as you slowly let them dissolve themselves on your tongue. Take your time, and savour them. Bliss.

Very smooth without the bitterness that I've found in other 100% cacao chocolate, and absolutely delicious!

Would have given five stars as love Ombar Raw chocolate for the lack of nasty things in it. However, these are NOT FULL SIZE BARS which are 70g and therefore these 35g bars work out expensive! I prefer to buy the larger bars as they work out cheaper. The smaller ones are a handy size though to pop in your handbag for that little something during the day!! Intense taste so a little is all you need.

My sister introduced me to Ombar chocolate, she is dairy intolerant and can't enjoy ordinary chocolate. So this is really for her and she loves it. Yes you get a hint of coconut but it is not overpowering. Look forward to trying other flavours.

This is OK but to be honest I'm a bit disappointed. It's actually quite bland and nothing like as tasty as the usual 100% chocolate I buy. I only bought this because the other one is out of stock at the moment (not available on Amazon). Won't buy again.

I have been an Amazon customer for more than a decade and order about 150-200 products a year and this is the first time I have felt compelled to write a negative review so that must be saying something.Agree with the only other one star review on Amazon, believe me when I say the bars are absolutely tiny!The picture is an absolute misrepresentation and I have raised this with Amazon so that others aren't fooled like me.The size of the chocolate bar as you will appreciate in the picture is only the size of a credit card, so thats how small they actually are!The product picture is clearly a misrepresentation and appears to depict a much larger sized chocolate barA bigger downside is that it tastes awful, and I do eat dark chocolate regularly so I am aware of what dark chocolate tastes like but this tastes like regurgitated sick!I have attached some pictures to this review just so that anyone else who is attracted by the promise of "healthy chocolate" isn't lured by this product and you will see that the actual size of a chocolate bar is the same size as a credit card or a small computer mouse.By the way I am also a clinician and find that the promise of "healthy chocolate" isn't really all its made out to be.Buy yourself normal chocolate but eat very small quantities.That way you will not be out of pocket and will also be able to enjoy normal mass produced chocolate which will surely taste better thana)dark chocolate andb)chocolate produced by a small timer manufacturer who preys on the "natural and feel good food market"

A few people have commented on the bars being quite small. They are, but are also the perfect portion size imo.Really nice chocolate too

Oh boy - these beauts are so delicious you'll have to stop yourself from gobbling them up all in one go. Yes they are a little expensive and the bars are quite small, but i follow a low carb paleo diet for health reasons, so i have to limit the sweet foods that i eat any way, so for me its a good think. They are very creamy and morish and are perfect for a little gift for someone. I highly recommend them and think they are way more tasty that a boring box of chocolates!
