Soldering Iron Stand - ST4 Bench Stand by ANTEX

I've had one of these stands for over 20 years that I bought from Maplin when it was still on the go and this is to replace a well hammered, well worn original.

Works fine, but somewhat on the light side, so I added a piece of lead sheet under the sponge.Why the price has increased 20% since last month may remain one of life's unsolved mysteries.

I have an Antex 25W iron (yellow handle) and this fits it perfectly. It has nice grippy feet and enough weight to stand it firmly on the bench even if you accidentally catch the wire while reaching for tools etc. The sponge cleans the tip perfectly and stays in it’s tray. All in all a good quality piece of kit. Very happy with it.

I had one of these years ago, but lost it so I bought another. Only has a small footprint, especially laterally, so can get knocked over easily as its not heavy, but this is fine for me and all I need.Sponge impressively expands when watered. At first when I got it I thought it was a joke, but add some water and it grows to fill the whole tray!

Arrived to be assembled. I could not work out how to screw the spring holder into the base as the diameter seemed to big. Eventually I got the angle right but then the brittle plastic broke a bit.It still useable after gluing but I expected better from the Antex brand.Also the sponge is very thin and the sponge bay is very shallow so it doesn't stay in place.My old one was much better made.

it is a bit light. I screwed mine to a little, plinth like, block of hard wood and it is great now. very stable and better than any thing else I've used

タイトルの通りです。麗々しく本体写真、パッケージ写真を掲げておきながら届いたものはコテ先でした。「この商品の仕様」には型番:ST4、重量:127グラムと明記してあります。眼を通した範囲では海外からのレビューもST4について述べているものばかりです。これではamazon primeの名に恥じましょう。早々にST4と交換されたし。

Va perfecto, el único inconveniente que le encuentro es que tiene poco peso y depende de la posición del soldador, se vuelca, yo haría la base de hierro colado o similar.Otra cosa el que he recibido, tiene un poco de desnivel de la base, osea que puesto en plano cojea.
