All-Star Batman 1: My Own Worst Enemy

I only gave this three stars due to condition of the book not the art or story by Snyder and Romita Jnr as it arrived with damage to corners, nothing drastic and as it was £3.50 something it was worth it still with the little bit of damage to the bottom and side corners, Amazon do nomally deliver the books i order in mint condition so this one I'll let slide, had a quick glance through and art pops with props to the colourist on this title who definitely adds to the incomparable John Romita Jnr who's work on Wolverine with Mark Millar and his epic run on Daredevil with Frank Miller and Klaus Jansen making arguably the best Daredevil run ever followed closey by Brian Micheal Bendis and Alex Maleevs stellar run on that title, Snyder can be hit or miss and his divisive run on Batman being a great example of an uneven run but overall a great reimagining given the parameters.

I bought this book for my husband for him to add to his collection, but the book came unsealed in the package. It would of been nice if it came in sealed because it was a gift otherwise book it self is good and he is enjoying reading it.

A great book. Heard nothing but good things about it and it surprisingly met my expectations.

Over the last 50-odd years I have read plenty of Batman stories, some good, some bad. I can honestly say that this is the very worst Batman story I have ever read. Pulp Fiction made it 'cool' to start in the middle of a story, go back, forward etc. Done well this can be quite novel, done here it is confusing and unnecessary for story progress. Probably done because the story is SH1t. The artwork is very average. I gave it one star because the only thing worth having is the art gallery at the end. If only they'd employed those artists for the interior.

Scott Snyder and John Romita Jr. make a excellent story with a fantastic art! Great graphic novell!
