Top Gear - Greatest Hits [DVD]

Looks good but I bought it as a gift

The description sort of implies that they are full episodes on the DVD alas they are not. Each disc is a collection of 7 items each of which are cut and cropped into the best parts of individual episodes with no unseen or original footage but it is over 5 hours of the best of Top Gear and what a bargain as well!

my son loves it , he does not have any of the previous dvds so for him it is great , i know a lot of people been complaining that it has the same stuff as older ones and nothing from last season but for someone too young to have seen the old stuff this is great

A Great 2 Disc trip down memory lane. Such a must have for all Top Gear Fans! Goes back right to the beginning so for the younger fans there are some scenes they may not have seen before! (I hadn't) some great moments too especially from the specials they always did at Christmas!

This Greatest Hits collection has a great selection of moments from Clarkson, Hammond and May Top Gear - including my personal favourite the Hammerhead i-Eagle Thrust - but unfortunately the picture quality tends to vary. On the back it clearly states that it's a mixture of standard and high-definition but even so, the PQ of the car vs bike vs boat vs public transport race is terrible (especially when the camera is from the point-of-view of Richard Hammond on the bike, where the picture feels like VHS quality). On the other hand, the HD items such as the Peel P45 offer a very clear and detailed picture.Also worth noting that many of the challenges shown on the Blu-ray artwork aren't actually featured in the collection.Overall the Blu-ray is worth recommending for a collection of some of Top Gear's funniest moments but don't expect the best picture quality from it. It is also the only way you can see a part of the phenomenal Queen musical We Will Rock You (it has since closed in London and was never released on Blu-ray), albeit a very small segment of it (for those who want to know, it is the scene near the beginning of the musical where they sing Radio GaGa).

Love top gear so good addition to collection. However a lot already in other DVDs that I have, still good to have in one collection and can't argue when price was really good.

It's a greatest hits compilation! So, if you already own lots of previous Top Gear DVDs then don't buy it as you'll have seen most of this stuff already. But, if you're like me and didn't get any DVDs before this it's a brilliant watch.

I love o.g. Top Gear. This is a great collection. It came in on time, and in very good condition. All discs played perfectly. Shipping was great. I would order from them again.

These are older shows but they are fun to watch.
