Absolutely useless; poor design or poor manufacture?
I ordered a GoSystem Quick Pro Auto Swirl Torch (part number QP8937H)This has been on sale since October 2012, so I would have expected the manufacturer to have ironed out the bugs, and got their instruction leaflet correct by now.As there were only 7 Amazon reviews, I had thought it was a new device, but the main complaint (that releasing the trigger caused the flame to die back to a pilot flame, rather than go out completely) was actually an advantage for me, so I bought this version (£37.75), rather than the cheaperGoSystem Quick Pro Auto Power Torch (part number QP8088H) which Amazon sell for £29.99My previous torch was much bigger, fed via a rubber hose from a refillable bottle. Needing a smaller one, I bought this, and the recommended disposable tin screw-thread MAPP gas bottle rather than the slightly cheaper but cooler propane bottle. Before screwing in the can, I clicked the piezo button, and could see and hear the spark. The instructions are wrong, and seem to refer to an earlier model: they say ...7. Turn the ignition button counter-clockwise to disengage the ignition safety lock.8. Squeeze the ignition button slowly allowing gas to flow into the burner tube. Continue to squeeze it until the torch is lit. If the torch doesn't light, squeeze the ignition button again. The instruction sheet clearly states it is for the QP8937H model, in agreement with box, and all the pictures agree. The problem is, it is only the earlier models that had a round turnable trigger and safety switch feature - this one has a simple trigger, just like a gun. No matter, but when I couldn't get it to work, I was mistrusting the instructions completely. So, just doing the obvious, I screwed in the cannister, turned the valve, and pulled the trigger; it immediately fired up, and immediately blew out.It is as if the explosion of the ignition 'blew the flame out', like Red Adair used explosives to extinguish oil rig fires.I tried various levels of gas flow, from gentle to fierce, and always got the same result; initial light, an audible and visible pop, then flame out (yet the gas continued to flow ok, just not lit).I tried loosening the swirl attachment (so it wasn't so close to the spark region, in case the gap was too small, but that did not help. Then I tried removing the swirl attachment completely, and this did light up ok, but no longer does so. You still get a spark, but it seems smaller. My next attempt was to squeeze the trigger, adjust the flow, and light it with a match; this works. But the reviews that said the 'flame burns only when the trgger is squeezed' are wrong; the trigger functions only to generate an ignition spark, releasing the trigger does not reduce the flame to a pilot light. The cheaper version clearly states it has a "dead man's trigger", so it seemed obvious the more expensive version would as well, and this was confirmed by user reports saying trigger release only reduced the flame to a pilot. The cheaper version also claims it has the swirl nozzle, so that does not account for the price difference.Getting advice on the GoSystem webite was hopeless, so I gave up, and bought a Rothenberger Superfire 2-Turbo Brazing Torch (£57 from Amazon, rather than £38 for the GoSystem).More expensive, but it is good and reliable.

Its ok for the price point, but NOT professional quality.
Good torch for the most part. Fits Mapp Gas perfectly, auto ignition seems to work fine, no gripes thereThe flame itself can sometimes be a little FLUFFY, spitting and such, but a restart clears that. What causes it, i do not know, but i can live with it.The flame stays on when the button is released, which i find helpful, however im sure some will find this a negative depending on their work needs. The knob for gas on/off is a little loose, and can be vaugue so be prepared, OFF isnt actually off, you need to turn it against the stiffness till it stops fully.

Good quality tool on a budget.
My experience of this torch has been extremely positive. I like the design and feel of the torch and the quality seems pretty solid for the price I paid. Its been an invaluable part of my toolkit and has performed well with difficult rusty suspension bolts that would have snapped had it not been for this bit of kit.

Just as good as alternatives that are more than twice the price.
Excellent quality item for fast soldering using a flare proof design. I really can't fault this. A fellow plumber recommended it as a great alternative to much more expensive alternatives and I have to say I am delighted with it. Gas flow control is excellent. Not too sensitive. It really is great. No doubt that I will be buying these in future.

GoSystem Quick Pro
So easy to use and the electronic ignition so easy compared to messing with matches. The flame adjustment wheel is good, easy to control and adjust flame for the right temperature for the job being done. Handle provides a really good grip. Brilliant, recommended

Impressed
Really happy with this. My main gripe with other blow torches at this price point is flare when used upside down. No such problem here. The flame is fully adjustable and the piezo start is reliable.
