The Hebrew Reader will help you strengthen your Hebrew reading skills while familiarizing you with some basic Hebrew vocabulary. I’ve selected famous Hebrew text for you to practice your reading skills, including: Texts from the Hebrew Bible Common phrases in Modern Hebrew Sections from the Prayer Book (Siddur) Beloved poems and songs Each text is presented in a linear fashion with between 1-3 words per line. Each page has 3 columns. The Hebrew is always on the inner column with the translation and transliteration in the outer columns. As you read through this book fold the page so you only see the Hebrew. (If you don’t want creases in your book you can cover them with a sheet of paper or a bookmark) Try to read each line without peeking. Then you can reveal the transliteration and check your pronunciation. Also take a look at the translation to get a sense of the meaning of the words you’ve just read. Another Awesome item from this Arthur!
I am so happy to add to my collection with this Reader. Learning Hebrew, with this author’s fun and easy system, has been GREAT! This Reader is Great! The font is big enough to not need a magnifying glass. I very much appreciate the selection of items to learn to read as it is very much in line with my purpose for learning :) I am so thankful to Miiko Shaffier (the author) for making learning Hebrew fun and engaging.

Great book to self teach
Very nice and easy to learn. There are a few mistakes, however, that surprises me.

Great Next Step in Reading Hebrew
This is exactly what I was looking for to further my ability to read Hebrew. I finished reading the author's Hebrew in 6 Weeks book and wanted something to memorize more words. I love that this book is easy to travel with and keep on hand, and has plenty of examples that will be useful toward my goal of reading the Bible in Hebrew.

This is a huge help in learning how to read and speak Hebrew at a good pace. Also this is an excellent way to understand many of the Hebrew words in both prayer and everyday secular phrases. The perfect next step in LEARN HEBREW IN 6 WEEKS

Quick learning/ Great Resource
This is a great book that gives you an easy way to make sure your pronunciations are matching your readings. It’s good to cross reference with an English/hebrew interlinear. I would recommend.

EXCELLENT FOR A BEGINNER
For an unknown reason, I have always been interested in Hebrew. I continue with my lessons and struggle. Being able to read a simple sentence is a big deal for me.This book is user friendly, has bold print and makes learning fun. I am very glad that I purchased this particular text. Shalom

Uh awesome!! This is the perfect follow up to the first book. Seriously easy and helpful in learning to begin reading Hebrew…kudos to the author

Kinda weird text formatting
It's a great book, but I absolutely HATE the way the book is formatted. It's like a small horizontally shaped book and all the Hebrew words are written coming from the center spine of the page, so you kinda gotta push down the spine to read the words. I think it wouldve been better if the book was a vertically shaped book and all the text was put in the center of the page for easier, cleaner reading. I don't know, it's just kinda weird and annoying to read for me, but I still think the book is highly valuable though. 7/10

Excellent Resource
I have now purchased all the book published in this series, and they are fantastic. I have been working through Lear Hebrew in 6 Weeks, and this reader if the perfect companion to that book.

Excellent book. It's the third book in the series. The first one is about learning how to read in Hebrew.

Explained in a clear and simple way. Great for older learners!

Worth every penny to a learner of Hebrew
Having got to grips with the alphabet thanks to the first book, I sent for this to practise and am delighted. Extracts from Hebrew texts (the bible, ritual prayers and modern poetry) plus some everyday vocabulary are broken down into bite size morsels. Each word is clearly printed with its vowels (hurrah!) alongside its pronunciation and translation. I am getting to know the letters, sounds and some words well, which is what a reader so cleverly designed does better than anything on line. I am not religious but the King James's Bible was part of my upbringing and to read the story of Isaac and Psalm 23 in the original Hebrew - however faultingly - gave me goosebumps!

So helpful
As a convert to Judaism and having studied Hebrew at shul I wanted to find a book that simply provided reading practice. This is just what I was looking for! Having a basic knowledge helps with this book but it is not essential. I reccomend it to anybody that wants to sharped their hebrew reading, studying for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah, or like me is learning Hebrew on their conversion journey.
