The research on the Pygeum Bark is the most positive for prostate health of the three ingredients and the dosage in this product is similar to the dosage in the clinical studies. Although the Saw Palmetto has also had some studies that have shown efficacy - the doses used in these studies are about 3x the doses in this preparation - so it is possible that there is insufficient Saw Palmetto to have any real effect. The Nettle root dosage is a little lower than the trial dosages but not by much.The advert is confusing: the 500mg discussed is the dose of all three products combined - not the Pygeum bark alone; the advert states this product is manufactured to GMP - but there is no GMP stamp on the label; the advert states that the Pygeum bark is organic - but this is not stated on the label.Pygeum bark is collected from the African cherry tree and is currently not collected sustainably.The capsules can be swallowed if you have no difficulty swallowing. They are a little light and do tend to float in your mouth - but this was not a problem for me. They come packed with cotton wool - which arrived stained (see photo) - not sure why as all the capsules appeared intact.The price is £19.00 for a four-month supply which seems OK for a supplement but you are carrying the upfront cost if it doesn’t suit you.Overall an interesting combination of products - will need some time to assess but will update the review if relevant.
