Blue Spot 2 Piece 9 inch Diamond Cutting Disc Set

Excellent condition good value

We removed a pond from our garden and wanted to cover it with patio. However, it was an awkward shape with a curved wall along the edge of it. We were given several 2" thick paving slabs, and had borrowed an angle grinder to cut them to shape. We managed to cut one slab, and in doing so had worn a whole disc down to nothing. We put on a new (standard stone cutting) disc and promptly blew the motor on the angle grinder! So, we went and bought a new, much more powerful angle grinder. The standard discs once again proved almost useless, so I looked on the internet for help. Everyone recommended getting diamond edged discs, but the prices were as much as we'd paid for the angle-grinder! Then I found these on Amazon. I reasoned that at this price, with free delivery, I wouldn't have wasted much if they weren't very good, and they HAD to be better than the standard ones. When I fitted the diamond edged disc, I cut through as much in 2 minutes as the standard disc had done before wearing down. It was effortless! Like a knife through butter! Well worth the price paid, and more too. I wouldn't hesitate in buying these again.

We have been using these blades for over a decade. They have been constantly improving, sometimes giving an unbelievable amount of cutting time. Just recently we noticed a production line fault where even sharpening the blade on a brick paver gives a massive amount of sparks and heat coming from the blade, truly incredible. The cutting performance was a fraction of the normal blade standard and the high temperature build up left the blade warped. This blip in build quality, although rare, has been concerning. It's like the sintered diamond particles are coated with the standard metal, causing all the sparks. I still have faith that these cutting blades are of good quality despite what we hope is a one off problem regarding production line quality...

I bought this to cut a 12 foot section of concrete driveway. 1 disk did the job reasonably quickly and seemed just as sharp at the end of the job as the beginning. Very good for the price, would recommend
