good quality!
The brush is good, as described, soft, holds water and make a not very fine tip . I just found it small for the size. I bought size 14, but this looks like a size 8 or less. I recommend buying two or three sizes of what you want.

Recommend this brush
I am newer to watercolor and this brush is amazing. It doesn't "mush" when you dip it in the water... holds a good shape so you can paint detail and not too large or too small to work with. It was recommended by The Art Sherpa. I use her on line courses and she is great at recommending good and reasonably priced products.

I ordered a number 14 round, my first impression is that the hair lacks protective gum arabic/starch. The hair itself seems to hold a lot of water, it even feels natural but the ferrule was not glued properly and fell as soon as I started using it. Hair quality is similar to Escoda Ultimo and Princeton Neptune. The brush was likely a manufacturer problem, shipping process, or a I got a return. For an artist quality brush is dissapointing, althouth I ended up gluing it. Also note that the size is not regular, size 14 Raphael is more like size 8-10 on Escoda or Princeton Neptune.

Size Matters!
The brush I loved just as I love my # 10 & 12 brushes BUT THE SIZE, ALTHOUGH MARKED AS A 14, IS SMALLER THAN TWO SIZE 12S I OWN, SMALLER THAN ONE CVS SIZE 10! SO WHAT IS THE DEAL?! I WILL BE SENDING THIS LOVELY LITTLE BRUSH BACK! I GUESS WOULD HAVE TO ORDER AN 18 To actually get a size 14? This is not right. Been a watercolor artist for years, own MANY brushes, This is NOT A SIZE 14 !!
