Use this for my 91 year old dad so he does not have to bend over the kitchen sink or the bath anymore!Brilliant! Takes 2 mins to inflate (Tip: don't fully inflate top section, this makes it softer to lie on, comfier angle, and does not pinch the neck... I also place a skmall folded towel where dad's neck rests for a bit more comfort)Literally takes one jug of water to wet his hair then another to rinse off.Do this with him lying down on the bed. (He takes his shirt off so it also let me see just how much weight he is losing... he is 91 and feeds himself but clearly not enough!)Takes 5 minutes start to finish.I don't use the drain,leave the stopper in... less chance of spill and it's easily light enough to carry to the sink to empty.. not a lot of water used for one elderly male's hairwash 👍Quick swoosh round, wipe it with a towel, let the air back out and it's easy to fold up and put away each time.So wish I'd got it when my mum was in hospital for a long time before her death. She would have loved a proper hairwash.All hospitals should have these.

The Shampoo basin does the job, but has a few flaws. Firstly there is no adapter supplied for inflation, this makes it very difficult to pump up. Best option is to leave inflated once you manage to get it done. Secondly the drainage pipe is made from a strong plastic and is bent back on itself to fit in the packaging. This means it is very kinked when unpacked making it difficult to straighten or to get the kinks out, a lighter more flexible hose is needed. The opening for the head could also be a bit wider and if possible the walls could be less thick, it can be difficult to get at hair at the back of the neck. After saying these things it still allows me to do a job that would otherwise be impossible.

quite big but easy to use for a bed bound patient. However, It was just as easy to use a jug to empty it. Quite hard to blow up if you havent got a lot of puff but normally would say it was easy.

I am so pleased we purchased this product. My husband was bed ridden for a while after contracting Covid and this was so useful to help me wash his hair. I don’t know quite how I would’ve washed it without this. I would recommend it to anyone

My mother is confined to bed and I was having problems washing her hair and she would end up getting wet. I got this and it is brilliant. So easy to use just placed her head in the gap and she stayed dry. My only gripe is I was struggling to blow it up and when I looked at the valve it looked like there was not much opening at the bottom for air to go through. I ended up putting a steel straw I had in the valve through the gap at the bottom and blowing through that.

Bought this inflatable basin 2 years ago, after first use I only needed to inflate it once! (I have room to store it so just keep it as it is). I bought this for my 8 year old autistic son to use in the bath, as it is something soft for him to lie on and it makes him feel more secure and comfortable. He used to hate having his hair washed. But amazingly he accepted the idea of using this basin really quickly. Now when he knows he is going to have his hair washed he will go to get the basin himself without any prompting. Truly amazing and useful product. Excellent quality and long lasting too. Highly recommended. (suggestion: if the sides squash the ears/neck just don't inflate the top ring too much, so the top ring gets softer and you can easily expand the gap of opening)
