I was a bit skeptical about the need for the watering globes for my indoor plants. After seeing the large size and top watering fill design of this product I decided to try it. The results were impressive. Turns out I was under watering my ficus. Was so impressed with the product I ordered more the following day.

First I should clarify that I purchased the one called “Design Glass,” which I think is a different product than what used to be listed with the same name. Mine is the three piece XL glass globe with an aluminum stake and a glass stopper on the top.I thought it was a little pricey when I bought it, but first impression is that this is a very sturdy product from a small business. You get what you pay for. The biggest appeal for me is that you do not have to remove the stake to refill the globe. The globe is about softball size and holds a good amount of water.The whole reason I bought this product is because my indoor lemon tree needs really consistent watering and I’m…not consistent. I’m especially not going to be troubled with pulling a stake out of the dirt and refilling it at the sink and then sticking it back in while trying not to break a glass stem/pour it all out on accident. Hence, this product seems to be a good fit for me.I will say that it was a little tough to get the globe to fit into the stake, but with a bit twisting and careful patience, it’s snugly in there now.I’ll update after a few days if anything goes awry, but as of right now I’m very happy!Update 12/28/22: the water lasts a full 7 days in my large plant pot before I have to refill (and the refill is so easy with the stopper). Still love and will probably buy another.

I love this globe--and the stick included to make it easier to place in the dirt. Unfortunately the little glass topper for it was really fragile and broke in the first use.

It’s beautiful and in the heat of the summer is a great back up if I’m out all day and can’t watch if my plant needs additional watering.

I followed directions making sure the soil was wet before inserting it. The water doesn’t even last a day. I’ve had it for a week now and have had to fill it up every morning.

I have the blackest thumb of them all when it comes to plants. I legit couldn't even keep a cactus alive for more then a month. I was given a beautiful hanging basket for mother's day (despite my husbands teasing that it was going to it's final resting place), so I decided to take all measures to prove him wrong and not kill this beautiful plant. The plant is thriving (going on a month now)... and in direct sun! I highly recommend getting yourself one.

My Boston fern needs daily water, but not overwatering, it's not easy. Until I bought this large top-watering globe! My plant is thriving with the ability to determine its own watering needs -- I just fill the globe when it's empty. Perfect!

All users should be aware that under the right circumstances sunlight shining through this water filled globe could cause bark or material on the surface of the plant container to smolder and possibly catch fire. The glass acts like a magnifying glass. One morning there was actually smoke rising from my container after the sun had been shining.

It is the perfect solution to keep my plants fresh for a week or more depending of the inclination I stick it in the soil. It is beautiful without adding so much decoration to my minimalist home environment. Very easy to use. Just open the cute lid on top and fill it up.
