I’ve waited some time to do this review. My initial impressions were not good at all, very short battery life (less than a week) and weak Ring support.The battery life has certainly improved, it now lasts for 2+ weeks.There is a delay in the full quality recording, the “pre-sense recording” starts off with a very limited quality recording before kicking into HD. There is no way to remove this feature. It is annoying as there are many times that the movement has actually passed before the HD quality comes in, making it impossible to identify via the recording should you need to.Build quality is good, usual Ring app features etc.Still wish I’d have bought the wired version….

This is easy to set up and charging the battery is straightforward. Charge battery before first use. The app will talk you through set up. I had a few issues with connection but easy to sort. Day and night images are great. It would be nice to have motion warning but it is not available on this product yet. This informs the person they are being recorded and makes a useful deterrent. It is available on other cameras made by Ring.

We bought this for security reasons for our front drive, so our new car is safe. It was so easy to put up, it was drilled into brick which my Husband said was easy. We already have a ring doorbell so thought adding this would be so much easier, as we can see both views on one app. You can set the perimeter so if you don't want to see everyone coming through the gate you can adjust it, we now have the perfect view of size door and driveway. The siren and light will come in use if we have anyone prowling around the car. Absolutely no problems so far, we have ordered another battery, only because we used it quite a bit at first, I suppose the novelty will wear off! Definitely recommend.

Brought to monitor drive way, fitted camera to garage and as a bonus the viewing angle captures the rear of my house.Purchased solar panel and 2nd battery keeps the batteries fully charged even with the limited amount of sun light in the winterAlso have ring door bell, when that battery gets low, I swap with a fully charged battery from the the spot light cam no more waiting for battery to chargeOnly down side sometimes comes up poor WiFi signal but remains connected and tells me move camera closer to router which isn’t an option. Camera is approx 20 metres from router

I was so high expectations about the ring new spotlight pro cam battery powered.First, bit disappointment about the battery life per charge. I reviewed some you tuber review say battery sustain for half year.But my cam under normal usage battery gone in 10days. (Less than 20videos)I have charged the battery one time, I took 4hrs for fully charged,. You should consider buffer battery.Rings technical support has contacted me to offer solutions. They are so patient and good to provide solutions. Now I have plug in the adaptor to make this battery powered cam become plugged in version. And no need to worry about the battery.The wifi connection very weak when it hang to the garden gutter. Keep disconnecting/offline even connected with the strong wift extender. I doubt if it is normal?Last time I have commented about the motion detection. I need to revise my comment. The cam captured 🐱 movement 70ft away. Impressive.Overall , i still suggested to have that spotlight pro but with plug in version if you can manage the socket.

The product itself is OK. But this is a replacement for a previous version that was installed in Aug 2021. The video failed. The Ring technical dept is useless - and that's a compliment. They run an awful offshore call centre and should be avoided at all costs. My sytems are always hard wired (no bettery) and thank goodness I have a compentent electrician. Amazon too are always a pleasure to deal with, but avoid Ring like the plague. If this unit fails I will see if there is an alternative on the market and if you are thinking buying a ring product I suggest you look for alternatives until they get a decent (and if possible on shore) call centre.

I have installed many Ring products for myself and my customers, never had any problems with them, the field of view is perfect and picture quality is excellent, so much easier to use than a professional CCTV system especially when reviewing footage, a little more angle adjustment on the bracket would be good but not an issue. I fitted my camera up a couple of months ago and the battery still has over 50% left, I bought a second battery thinking I would fit that too but no need to unless the camera is in a higher traffic area (these cameras can take either one or two batteries). I just wish it was easier for trades to get trade prices, I have contacted Ring but they are very slow in responding.
