Gripped and Impressed
This has just arrived after a reasonable delivery period - particularly given it's come from China. First impressions are very good;it's actually better finished than the photo suggests, with edges blended to give a smooth feel on the thumb. As soon as it was out of the packet, I fitted it to my new X100S using the included Allen key (noting the recessed retaining grub screw). A perfect, snug sliding fit to the hot shoe and an improved grip on the camera. Perfect timing as we intend visiting Kingston Market tomorrow to try some real street photography. The most impressive aspect is the price, even if the postage was - understandably - significant. It's a slightly lighter shade of silver than the camera, but I quite like that - the ergonomics are paramount. First trial at Kingston Market completed, confirming my impressions at my desk: the grip on the camera is very secure and comfortable, both in portrait and landscape mode, so this represents an impressive upgrade to a fine camera, without impact to the overall weight (despite it being made of a steel alloy) or on the finances (and it looks as though it's supposed to be on the camera). It'll be going to Florida with me in November - I'm looking forward to lots of 'thumb on' time under blue skies. Some users claim the extra stability allows longer, shake-free exposures; though as I run the X100S on auto, I cannot report on that, only that it's more comfortable and gives a good grip. I can neither see nor feel any flex in the device on the camera, a most important feature.UPDATE:The 10 nights in Florida proved the grip to be as effective and comfortable as my early tests indicated; so much so I recommended it to two friends who are contemplating a move to mirror-less camera technology. The fact it's a better ergonomic upgrade for me is boosted by the bonus it prevents accidental depression of the AFL/AEL button on the X100S, which happened to me once on an early outing with the camera, causing the focus point to move while taking a portrait-mode photo. I cannot see any reason why I'd take the grip off and go back to a bare camera. A wonderful accessory for a brilliant price.

Looks and feels good, creates awkward access to shutter dial!
As description describes. It looks and feels great, not the greatest of fits on the hot shoe,( a little loose.). The problem with the grip is the proximity to the shutter speed dial. Once installed it hinders the ease of operation and access to the dial.

Excellent value and looks great on my X-E1.
Wasn't sure about this initially because the product image looks more white rather than the gunmetal grey of my X-E1's upper half, but ordered anyway because, what the hell, it's 4 quid.Arrived to day and fits snugly into the hotshoe using the allen key provided. It matches the camera very well and doesn't look cheap at all. IIt's not perfect, though - its position makes turning the shutter speed dial a bit more fiddly, but I think I'll get used to it. On the other hand I find the ergonomics more pleasing with the thumb grip attached and it does subtly change the camera's handling for the better.Overall, highly recommended and great value for money. Why spend 45 quid on the official Lensmate grip when you could buy several of these at half the cost?

Inexpensive but Useful
I was a little sceptical at first but have grown used to this handy piece of metal. The silver is not quite the same colour as the X100 top plate but it' close enough not to matter. The extra stability offered by placing your thumb on this is worthwhile. The only negative is that the X100 is not all that easy to slide into the case I have as the thumbs-up snags on the inner pocket.

Perfect for the X100 series
I can only assume the other people rating these down for use on the Fuji X100 can't work an allen key, or have incredibly feeble arms. Tighten it down and it is totally secure, and doesn't move unless you apply serious force. With that said, if you need to take it off from time to time (like I do - the X100 is great as an off-camera flash tool), just yank the thing off and you can fit a trigger or flash to the hotshoe without needing the allen key. When you're done, push it back on with a bit of force and you're back to where you were before. I can't bear to use my X100T without one of these fitted! Ignore the morons. Buy one.

Does the job, but missing piece
The thunbs up grip works as it should. The issue for me was 2 things, firstly it came with no allen key to actually tighten the thing in place (which is says it will be supplied with) and secondly it’s not the same colour silver as my X100 body so stands out a little.

Thumbs down for this thumb grip
Do not buy this for a Fujifilm X camera - I have the X20, the design is poor- allen key screws into the flash hot plate to fix securely, chance of damaging the contacts if you over tighten. The arm is too chunky and short to be comfortable for use as a thumb grip, the arm height blocks ability to turn the camera mode dial. Seller has now said a new version is out which is longer and fits the Fuji X10/20/30/100 better. Posting it back to China for a refund would have cost me more than I paid for the original item. The new mark 2 design works well as can be expected, and is sensibly priced.

Thumb grip for X-E1
If anyone wants to waste £109 for a Lensmate or the more expensive Thumbs Up, please me my guest! This item though for £5.50 does exactly what you need... It brings great support to use the camera at landscape or portrait style and your hand doesn't interfere with the buttons.Great service - As its coming from Hong Kong, China you just need a little delivery patience...In my opinion if you need a thumb grip for your camera this product is a must buy!

Great on the x100t
Great on the x100t. Fits well, feels solid, much easier to hold camera. My only complaint is that it sticks up above the camera and blocks thumb access to the shutter speed control, but this is a very minor complaint, and I dont think it will be hard to get used to making the adjustment with my index finger. The lensmate one looks to be a little longer and a better fit for the x100t since it is designed specifically for it, but it is $60... at under $10 this one will do just fine.
