The instruction were rubbish
The machine istelf is good. The snow fall seems a bit blured but in video clips I took it looks less blured. Not sure why that is but it still looks great anyway.I am using it indoors and will be in conjunction with a fibre optic Christmas tree. Will look awesome with the tree fibre lights on and this snow fall effect on and around it in the corner of the room.It has a flat base stand and a garden stake to choose from. The flat stand beeing for home use. But you are not limited to having to stand it on a surface as it has screw holes to be able to secure it to a wall if it is to be a more perminant feature in your home. No screws are provided but it shouldn't be hard to find the right size if you take the small flat base with you to a hardware store. The remote is a good thing to have and not just for use outdoors. I have placed mine high up as my sin complained the lights were too bright. (Might be worth knowing he has autism and that this is something I get from him a lot rather than it being the unit is over bright. Noone else complained of this) it is distorded on the ceiling closest to the unit and I must admit the ceiling looks like it is snowing sideways instead of down, but it doesn't seem to ruin the effect when looking at the walls.I would have likes more settings. For example: there is a white, white light and a yellowish, white light. Both are on or come on and off in all the settings. I would have liked a setting where it was just the white, white light. But you can't do that. It only has a small number of different settings you can have. Not sure why anyone would have the flash setting. The other settings are just a combination of the two types of lights staying on perminantly or oscillating between the two which overlap each other. An Christmas tree lights it is usualy listed as fade where one lot of colours are on and as the next colour comes on that colour goes of but slowly fading in and out. The other setting is speed of snowfall which could have had more options than 3. These are fast, slow and static (perminanyltly on and still) the static doesn't actually stay completely still though so if you wanted it to be a static snow fall but not falling, it is ruined a little by the fact it isn't completely still. (It tends to move a little in reverse, but very slight movements)The power cable is quite long which is ideal for both outside and for if you have to route it around the room due to a plug socket not being near the place you want it. Shame there is not 3 options of cable lengths to purchase. A short one for those who dont need such a long cable, this longer one and maybe an even longer one in case when using outside the plug can reach the indoors plug which may not be near the place the wire exits the home. But the cable it has is quite long enough for my needs. It does make a bit of noise but then most machines that have a rotating ball make noise.

PLEASED WITH IT. TO ENSURE REMOTE WORKS REMOVE CLEAR PLASTIC SQUARE
Only 2 minor niggles- cable is a bit short so unless you use an water proof box can only be about 2 metres away from the structure once plugged in. If you use a timer it defaults to the fast effect, I prefer the slowest setting so have to change to this setting via the remote (so not the end of the world). The positive which I think outweighs the points above is that the effect is great, I think it looks one of the most realistic. I have a street lamp right opposite and as per the video it is still quite visible. The remote is great for changing settings and includes a timer so no need to use a plug in timer. Note remove the small transparent plastic square which stops the battery discharging during delivery, I thought my remote was broken till this square fell out. I recommend this projector for the money.

Nice light display but disappointed
Item arrived on time scheduled well packed, unpacked and very pleased with light display but remote does not work even though battery that's supplied is full power, will not sync to light unit, also remote does not light up at all followed the instructions supplied to no avail, disappointed with that, coupled with the length of cable supplied for a few more pence would eliminate the need of an extension cable as a lot of other people have mentioned in previous reviews. When can I expect a new remote to be supplied ?? Further to my review the instructions regarding the remote battery are vague to say the least if you look closely you will find a piece of plastic in the battery compartment that prevents contact with the battery remove this and bingo all now working satisfactory, excellent light display which you can control from inside the house, now highly satisfied with product
