[2023 Newest] Wireless CarPlay Adapter/Dongle for Factory Wired CarPlay Cars, Plug & Play Auto Connect No Delay Online Update for Cars Year 2016-2023

This the second device I have tried to get wireless Apple Carplay in my 2019 Lincoln Navigator. The first one had some glitches, so I returned it. I decided to order this item after seeing good reviews for it. It was very easy to set up and my Carplay pops up quickly every time I start my car. I would say it works 97% of the time. There have been a few times that it didn't connect, but I attribute that to my car doing a software download or something upon starting. Would definitely recommend. Great price and great item!

I have a Mercedes E-400 2017 with CarPlay and I bought another one of these dongles and it did not work, so I was skeptical about this, but it does work after I updated the FW, which was very easy to do. There is practically no delay when I talk on the phone or when switching a song in Apple Music. Works with Waze and all the other apps too. One thing I would recommend: when you first connect it, the car display will almost instantly ask you to accept CarPlay and ask if you want it to start automatically. Do NOT accept this before you have found and connected the dongle in your phone bluetooth settings the first time. After that, you accept the display message and it will auto connect from there onwards. Love it.

At first I was very happy with the product - I was able to hook it up and use it with my iPhone with no issues. The first day using it I started and stopped the car multiple times and it worked great. The next day my wife used the car and she was also able to connect to the device without issue and use.But since then usage has been spotty at best. We tried connecting it multiple times, unplugging it and plugging it back in, etc. Most of the time we just get a black screen on the car and it never connects. Occasionally it will connect. For instance, yesterday I was in the car alone and it did connect. But after I stopped and restarted the car, it did not connect again the rest of the day.I contacted the seller via email per the instructions in the user guide. I never received a response. Based on this I returned the dongle. It’s a shame as the concept is great.

Easy to install. I just keep it plugged into the jack inside the console, out of site. It is a little slower connecting to my phone but once it does, it’s fine. *Takes less than a minute. I like not haven’t to plug in.Would I buy it again, probably not. Wired with lightning cable is a quicker connection but then you have wires showing. The plus to a wire connection is the phone charges and connects quickly to CarPlay. I keep the lightning cable in my car for charging if needed.

I bought one of these for my wife’s 2022 Chevy Trax, it works perfectly! Instantly starts up every time, no real lag I can see or hear, and it works just like it’s hardwired. Bought a second one for my 2016 Corvette. It works just like the one in the Trax, but I was getting static for the voice prompts on Waze, Apple Maps & Google Maps. No static on Apple Music or Pandora. I reached out to the seller and they offered several suggestions to get it working properly. Still had the static on the GPS voice prompts. Tried my unit in the Trax, worked fine, no static. So it’s not defective, just some hardware incompatibility with the older Vette. Seller refunded my purchase, and told me to keep the dongle. Great seller, great dongle, just didn’t work 100% correctly on the Vette…

I initially really liked this product! It made using my car play very easy. Just jumped in and it connected without a problem. But after a few months it doesn’t work consistently. I haven’t figured out if it’s my vehicle or the item itself. When it does work, it’s great though, fewer cords. But it’s frustrating when it doesn’t want to work.

Installed in my 2020 Nissan Maxima and use an IPhone 12. Wanted to modernize my CarPlay feature and was looking to eliminate the cord unless I need to charge my phone. Installation is very, very simple. If you can’t install this, you likely won’t be using steaming features via your phone. Been using it for a week without issues. Works great and it’s exactly what I was hoping it would do. Connects automatically via Bluetooth each time I get in the car. I don’t even think about it now. Highly recommend if your car doesn’t already have the wireless Bluetooth connection to CarPlay. It’s a game changer for me…I’m cancelling my XM Radio subscription and only using Apple Music now that I have this feature.
