Star brite No Damp Dehumidifier 36 oz Bucket

We rent a storage unit and while it has climate control, we keep 1 of these in there to reduce any humidity. I'll tell you, it works. It worked so well that the water that collects at the bottom of the tub literally froze from the old humidity beads. Great idea for smaller humid areas in the summer time.

I am still in college so I store everything I own and I have used this for the past year. Works pretty well. I change a bag every 2 months or so. This brings three bags full of the little circles that absorb moisture.

Very absorbent. However, only four stars because sometimes the absorbing material can become as hard as a brick in the bucket when it is thoroughly humid. Then the liquid can't pass through to the basin. Doesn't happen often though, so product usually works well.

Same experience as AJ, turns into a brick and bascially becomes unusable. Breaking apart the beads pretty much destorys the container, as it's pretty thin plastic. The smaller 12oz ones work pretty well, but this larger one is a fail.

All I can say is WOW! I didn't realize just how much humidity was really in our 10' x 20' storage unit. Since placing this in there 3 months ago, we have had no more issues with mold or mildew on any of our items.We also took this camping with us to place in our 10x20 cabin tent. You could physically feel the lower humidity inside the tent. If you've ever gone tent camping, you know exactly how it feels first thing in the morning when all of your bedding and clothes feel damp. This stuff is now a permanent fixture in our camping and storage ventures.

This stuff works. After I moved, most of my things went temporarily into a storage unit, you know the kind with hardly any insulation on a concrete floor? Well, since it has finally started really raining here in California, I had to do something to protect my things so I bought the large bucket of this stuff, and it really works.Every time I go to my storage unit now, I pour the water out of the bucket and the last time I had to pour a new bag into the basket. So, I poured the water out three times before having to pour a new bag of stuff into the basket. I think that's pretty great.

Used it in the covered boat last year to try to avoid mold growth. Worked great, so I ordered another!
