Our Special Toffee has been one of our signature confections since 1925, when Stanley Thornton finally perfected his recipe on the 50th attempt. Little has changed today: we still base our recipe on the original. We make our toffee in careful batches and leave it to cool for 24 hours to intensify that glorious buttery flavour. We don’t call it 'Special' for nothing. This treat-sized bag would be perfect for giving as a little gift, sharing over a cup of tea or hot chocolate, or simply stowing in your bag, car or desk drawer for the next time you’re in need of a treat. My dear old mum would have walked on coals to reach Thorntons toffee! It was @ £5-£7 a box then. The rrp for this 100g bag is £4.99!, which I would never pay for myself, but at the reduced price.. yes, I’ll splurge..in honour of my mum and it is still as scrummy as ever!

Fantastic product and quality the taste is still the same from years ago. Shame there's not as many Thorntons shops. Love their products. The appearance are the same.

This toffee is lovely, it has a nice flavour and it is great value for money. It also makes a good gift for loved ones.
