Missing Limit Switch, no Instruction for critical Assembly, runs unlicensed firmware
This could have been a good printer, if the seller had only done the critical last 10% of their job. But apparently they never learned how to fix mistakes - like so many others, my printer arrived missing the Y axis end stop.Worse for anyone not already highly experienced with 3d printers, there are absolutely no instructions covering the most tricky part of assembly - you're entirely left to your own resources to figure out how to assemble, tension, and align the Y-axis belts. As far as the instructions are concerned, the Y axis belts don't exist.I can understand a packing mistake - but when it seems that every single box has the same mistake, buyer's shouldn't be left to try to get a replacement part after the fact, instead, the seller should be bundling the main box with a box containing the missing limit switch, so that you get all the parts you need to complete your purchase at the time of delivery. This seems like it could have been a good printer, but there are at least four things the seller must do to make it right:1) Make sure that everyone who orders a printer is shipped a limit switch TO ARRIVE AT THE SAME TIME so that they can actually build their kit.2) Write an additional two pages of instructions clearly explaining how to install and tension the belts3) Post a download link for this updated manual with the product information.4) Comply with the GPL license of the Marlin firmware the printer runs by offering the source code of their version for download. By not doing so, they are shipping unlicensed software. But this isn't just a legal issue, not having the configuration files used in the stock build makes it impossible to alter the behavior of the printer in the way which Marlin's GPL license requires manufacturers who ship copies of Marlin on machines to offer.

If your goal is to 3D print, do not buy this
However, if your goal is to waste $200 on a box loaded with randomly assorted pieces of junk mechanics then go for it.Like other people have been saying, I was missing a limit switch. There's no supported software, like, at all. Unless you spend weeks tinkering with settings in a mess of programs, it will be almost impossible to print anything.Customer support is also non-existent. The community behind it is pretty small, and no one wants to help on the forums. It may look appealing at first because it's cheap and has a large build volume but please for the love of god and all that's holy do not buy this 3D printer unless you're smarter than a rocket scientist.

One of the best kit printers I have built in a long time.
Update. Dropped this a star because a fellow local friend bought one and it too was missing the Y axis limit switch. I thought mine was missing because my box had beened opened and assumed someone bought it and returned it and just somehow missed the switch. 2 people seeing that same problem means it might not be a fluke. I still stand behind the rest of the review despite this issue. This is one of the nicest kit printers I have assembled. The printed color picture instructions really are a nice touch for folks just learning how to assemble one. High quality parts are also 95% assembled so that all you are doing is putting together major assemblies. This printer also has some of the best wiring I have ever seen in a kit 3D printer. The cables are all plug in and just that nice extra touch of cable wraps and heatshrink really go a long way to making this just that much better than any other kit. The auto leveling works great and this system is compatible with huge amounts of upgrades that exist (not that you need them). Again, blown away for the price of this kit, they came up with a winner. Also, the included tools cover everything you need to assemble the printer. They really did try to think of everything. My only complaint is that for as good as the instructions are, they failed to cover the physical wire routing and placement. They show how everything connects, but it's missing some of the details around where to best route and attach the wires mechanically in the frame. If you built printers before, then it's obvious where they go but for a beginner, this is one area of the manual and instructions they could improve upon.

Overall bad experience
Horrible kit. Instructions are badly lacking, there is a missing limit switch, and customer service does not seem to exist. I went as far to try to purchase the missing limit switch on their site after failing to get the missing part from customer service and even that did not work.

... just want to say the instructions are so much better than the last printer I bought and sold cause ...
So I'm changing my review. no customer support instructions are great but they lack some stuff i noticed. I am returning them for a full refund to buy another printer. sorry my 4 just went to 1 start #sorrynotsorry.
