These are crazy awesome! They wire right into my existing light switch box. They connect to my home Wi-Fi so I don't need a separate hub, and once I had the devices setup using their app, I could connect and control them directly with my Alexa Echo Dot. Plus, when I was done, the switches are fully automated and the old switch works exactly like it did before. Down is Off and up is On -- not that I ever physically move the switch now, but I just wanted to know how it worked with the relays installed. Shout out to my brother Dan for giving me the idea and helping me think through this!!This is my first entry into a SmartHome and my goal was to automate my outdoor lights (I have two different sets of lights) to turn on at sunset and off again at sunrise. I was going to buy two new Smart Switches, but my home has traditional little toggle switches that are light almond in color. And there just aren't very many choices out there. In fact, I could only find one company's product and it required that I purchased their expensive hub too. I didn't want to spend that much money.These relays are freakin' awesome. Yea, it took me some time to wire them in, but their instructions are really thorough. I think I spent about 2 hours on the first one, but I would have been done in an hour if I had remembered my Wi-Fi password correctly. Doh! The 2nd one took me only about 45 minutes. Sure, there are several wires connected so you have to wiggle the relay into the back of your box, but I had plenty of room.Note - Be careful that you don't put too much tension on the wires when you tuck in the relay. And, I turned the metal screws toward the back of the box so my ground wires wouldn't accidentally touch them after the install. Lastly, I recommend that you turn the power back and set them up before remounting the switches back in the box and putting on the switch plate. before So, you need a little electrical expertise, but I only have a little. I can replace light switches and outlets, but that's about it for me.It's crazy to me that they can fit all of this tech in such little boxes. Smart-switching, Wi-Fi, and energy monitoring. It literally tells me how many Watts we are using with the front lights on and graphs it over time. Bottom-line, if I could, I would give these 10 stars!! I am thrilled!!

Need to monitor a solar panel and battery set up that runs a pump. The electric pump manages the water level in a retention pond. If the float switch is triggered I Shelly will turn on the pump.

The delivery was quick, product performing as promised. Easy to to and install. Great user interface appI am using the Shelly 1pm for a automatization project to control and monitor a hot water tank electricity usage.
