easy to use, no fuss meat thermometer with 2 monitoring probes
Our family loves grilled steaks during the summer so I grill in my gas grill whenever my wife or kids asks for steak dinner once in a while. I always try to make perfect steak for my family, which is Medium Rare Plus, but this is not so easy sometimes. I hate it when it comes out too rare and I have to go back outside to cook more because my kids and especially my wife will not touch steak on the rare side than what they prefer.Grilling is more of science than art because as long as you get the correct cooked temperature inside the meat, the rest is history. I finally decided to get this smart meat thermometer so I don't have to second guess the cooked temperature. This was a great choice as it comes with 2 probes, which is very necessary because steaks have different thickness and shapes so you can't expect all the steaks to be cooked the same way. Another nice thing about this meat thermometer is that you only need 2 AA batteries. No need to download and install app then connect to smart phone (or even create an account). It just works as a standalone device and 2 probes are already linked to the device. You just set the temperature and it will warn you by beeping when the desired temperature is reached. Only thing annoying is that the beeping sound is pretty loud even when you are just pressing the buttons but other than that, it's easy to see and read and very handy to have when cooking. Please note that you don't want to use the probe while the grill cover is closed as that will raise the temperature too high as the temperature outside the meat itself will get very hot with closed cover. You also don't want to cook to the exact temperature of the desired temperature because the meat will continue to cook very slowly when you remove it from the grill. Hope this helps.

Poor instructions.
There are numbers on this that I have no idea what they are for, because they never change and the instructions don't help. There is a timer, it has never timed anything, there doesn't seem to be a way to start it.But, the temperature part with alarm works well. You can do two different things with different settings at the same time, that is it's main purpose and that part works well.

Accurate and easy to use
Are you a person like me who either avoids the grill for fear of over or under cooking meat OR do you just eat burnt meat because your pride won’t let you admit that you need this device? Well, you don’t have to be either person. I purchased this thermometer and haven’t turned back. Summer 2022 was the best bbq summer I’ve had because of this easy to manage device. I set the temp that I want, place the stick in the meat, and cook until notified by the alarm. It’s just that simple. I love that I can use this device indoors, backyard, and camping. It fits in my pocket. When I get bbq sauce or marinade all over it, it’s easily cleaned with a warm rag. You want perfect meat, get this!!

Could do with added feature...
While I like how the system itself works, the frustrating thing is not being able to save custom settings. Health regs here in the UK require all animal by products be heated to a minimum of 90 degrees (C) for pet food production. Having to manually set this EVERY TIME is frankly annoying

Didn't work, had to return it for a refund
I was really looking forward to using this product. Unfortunately it didn't work, or at least the one I got didn't. On my first use the meat I was cooking climbed from room temperature to well done in about 60 seconds. I checked the temperature with an instant read thermometer and confirmed the erroneous reading. I hadn't really read the instructions, so thinking I may not have used it correctly I put it aside for a few days.Next time I had a chance to use it I closely read through the instructions beforehand. I put room temperature chicken breasts in a 350 degree oven. This time I used my wired oven thermometer as a check. In less than five minutes this device was telling me the chicken was at 167 degrees...my wired thermometer read 77. It took 35 minutes for the chicken to get to the 165 degrees I'd set.Returned for a refund and will look for something better.
