Hands on review
Good tape easy to read . Hard wearing only thing stopping me giving it a 5 star is can be clumsy to pull tape out while wearing gloves. Overall though good tape to have.

Highly, highly recommend this tape!
One of the best tapes I’ve ever used.Excellent build quality and clear, easy to read markings. It has your standard 16” and 19.2” for framing but it could also be a great tape for general construction, plumbing, electrical etc. It has a very wide blade and the standout is really good. The first six (or so) inches have an additional coating to help protect the tape - nice to see as this is typically where tapes start to loose accuracy or degrade.Even though it has a wide blade, it’s one of the smaller 16 footers out there. It feels good in the hand and has a nice “heft” to it. I keep this one in my belt and the 35ft version in my toolboxes. The entire tape is rubberized and has a metal “roll-cage” to protect it from drops and daily abuse.

Love this tape
It's a little heavy for a 25 footer. The build quality is great easy to read. Very happy

Durability and ease of viewing
Borrowed and accidentally got caught on perimeter cable and fell 8 stories in opening of a building where tower crane was located.. not thinking it survived the impact on to concrete floor and not able to find it right away due too bounce it took. I purchased this to replace for the guy I borrowed from. Later finding and inspecting it, it's still worked fine so I showed Co worker and he said keep it.. and both surprised it survived. The black background and high vis numbers and marking are definitely a plus compared too the standard yellow background and black numbers and marking. When and if I need a new tape measure...this brand and style will be my go to!

Update - amazing warranty
Update - Turns out Crescent has a no b.s., no receipt, no questions asked life time warranty. Right on the company website I filed a complaint, included a photo and I had a new one on my door step in roughly a week. The new one doesn't seem to have the retractable issue like the first. I'd buy again but glad to know I won't have toOriginal -Retractability was garbage. Coating started peeling off in less then a month of mild use. I should have sent it back the first time
