Full disclosure: I am not a cat owner. I would love to be. I would love soft little paws kneading my belly, head boops, and friendly meows. But a tiny apartment and plans to move soon have kept this dream out of reach. Instead, I cat sit a friend's precious feline named Luna. And every time I watch Luna, without fail, her favorite toy is a soft, yellow banana (boomerang?). She'll play with it for 10, 20, 30 minutes at a time, rubbing her face into it, kicking and nibbling it, (and like a weirdo, licking it repeatedly) and never seems to get bored. So, when I learned that my family had plans over the holidays to visit a relative with a newly adopted cat, AND this cat was picky with toys, I could think of no better gift than a catnip banana/boomerang. Alex (the cat pictured), was obsessed. Upon opening the package for him, Alex immediately began rubbing his face all over the banana. I mean, it is filled with catnip. Then, like Luna, he licked, nibbled, and overall had a really grand time with this toy. He finally realized he could play with it, and enjoyed holding it and kicking (this toy is the perfect size & texture for that), and eventually, curled up in the corner and protected his banana the rest of the night.I received a much appreciated update (Alex has now had the banana for about three weeks) that this is Alex's favorite toy (and is still holding up REALLY well, despite being licked and nibbled constantly), and he carries it around the apartment and even sleeps with. As you can see in the photo, the banana is truly magical, and has put Alex in some sort of trance that no other toy or treat can. So, with praise from both Luna and Alex, I would give this a solid two (four?) paws up.

Several years ago I bought this "banana" for our three cats, all of whom were older. The cats went nuts for it, grabbing it like it was a wild animal infused with crack and playing with it for several minutes at a time, so we bought a couple of more. Those cats sadly passed on, but their toys stayed behind for our future adoptees, who have loved them and reacted to them equally as well. Unfortunately, we were no longer able to find new ones at our local store. We tried searching for catnip bananas and found an inferior brand that bust open like a wet bag of rice within minutes of reaching our cats paws.Enter Amazon. I finally got smart enough to look for the brand name and discovered that our yellow banana shaped item was actually a boomerang, which only makes sense because our cats keep coming back to it. We bought two of them and our cats JJ and Cooper have gone nuts for them, enjoying the temporary high that comes with well made catnip toys.Highly recommended.

I got this catnip banana for my two cats and of course, only one of them likes it. She'll grab the banana between her front paws and rub it all over her face and then kicks it furiously with her back feet. She kicks it away like it insults her and then jumps on it and the whole routine is played over and over again. I find this toy in various rooms each morning and so I know that someone has been having fun through the night. Our shy little Hanni B. sneaks out when Lily is asleep and quietly plays by herself, I think. A toy well worth it's price. Just the right size for hours of playtime.2/22/16 UpdateBoth cats now think the boomerang is "the cat's meow" and the Cadillac of toys. But my tailless cat was the first to claim rights to it and guards it very sneakily. The older cat, Hanni B will plant herself amongst the pile of kitty toys while Lily hides in wait and as soon as Hanni B starts to rub on the boomerang toy, out comes Lily at a dead run and hit and runs with a smack. This is providing us with hours of laughter and enjoyment!

Our two boys are picky when it comes to toys, so when we find a toy that either of them actually plays with, it is cause for excitement! Our 20 lb Nebelung named Chevy is especially finicky with toys, but this boomerang catnip toy is a huge HIT. He licks the toy and throws it up in the air, just to catch it and lick it again. We've affectionately named this toy "Banana" and so far we have purchased 6 of them, one for each room. Chevy is never far from a banana, he has licked bananas EVERY SINGLE DAY for about 3 years now. When I say he is a "banana addict", I mean it. He will grab a banana and lick it for 20 minutes at a time sometimes. If you need to distract him or redirect his behavior, just toss a banana at him.Our big orange tabby named Chip only very rarely takes part in the banana party, but he is only interested in ball toys, so this isn't shocking to us. Or perhaps Chevy just won't share his bananas. Nevertheless, our family is thankful for the makers of "Banana"...this toy has brought so much happiness to our big gray boy. We've tried similar catnip-infused plush toys with Chevy but none of them hold is interest like this one does.

This is one of my cats all time favorite toys! The smell of the catnip is so great that they even enjoy playing with the packaging for this toy. I have purchased several of these Petstages Green Magic Boomerang Buddy's in the past and I will continue to purchase them as long as they're being made. I love Petstages toys in general; but this is definitely their favorite toy. I am heavily involved in cat rescue and literally every cat I have ever rescued (and my own personal cats) has loved this toy. Even cats that aren't typically toy lovers really enjoy this toy. To me, that says a lot! And I love the fact that it holds up very well. The only reason I need to keep purchasing them is because my dogs get a hold of them and they eventually tear them open. I'd also like to mention that even though my dogs play with them too, it takes several months before they get ripped open and I need to replace them. This is a high quality cat toy and I'm confident that your cat will love it too!!

I bought this boonoonoo for my kitties, kitties that I was yet to adopt as they were still with there mother at the shelter and not ready to leave.No problem. Gives me time to buy all the nice things for kitties who were born in a shelter.Fast forward to when they're ready to go to forever homes and BAM.. COVID-19.I have to wait for the kitties to arrive, in order to keep the shelter staff safe, that they can continue to look after the animals.So this banoonoo is here, it was posted fast, looks great, but no kitties to play with it.I will update when COVID-19 blows over and kitties are home and have played with the banoonoo.

Decent quality. But my cat didn't like it. Just checked it few times and ignored it there after. Probably the issue is with my cat. Anyway I heard that Aussie cats don't line catnip much. I don't know how true is that. My advice is to check fist with something cheaper to see whether your cat like catnip.

I bought this to replace the last one that was torn apart, but durability has not improved. Within moments of giving it to one of our cats, she had ripped a hole in it. So I can't give it to her for play for more than a few seconds before I take it away, which sadly defeats the purpose. It simply cannot withstand a cat that has teeth or claws (and certainly not both!).I'm disappointed that companies continue to make cat toys that aren't made for cats. Don't buy unless you have a toothless/clawless cat. In this case, it'd probably be amazing!

El juguete le gustó a mi gato de momentos, lo que no me gustó en lo absoluto fue volver un día a casa luego del trabajo y tener al gato con vómito y diarrea porque el juguete no estal suficientemente bien fabricado para gatos, lo abrió y se había comido un montón del excesivo relleno verde que debe ser el catnit.

Bought two - my cat can take it or leave it and sometimes plays with it - my friends cat goes absolutely crazy for this - she goes bonkers chasing it if thrown and rolling all over. SO some cats love the catnip and some like mine are just plain fussy ^._.^
