Einhell Professional Cordless Edge Router TP-ET 18 Li BL-Solo

Another great tool from the Einhell brand. I've had several 'full size' mains powered routers over the years, and never really got on with any of them. This palm router is the answer, much easier to handle accurately, partly due to its size and partly due to the lack of power cable. I've probably used this more than my old ones put together. Obviously it is limited to the size of bit you can use, but as mine are usually for small mouldings, it suits me fine.

As a routing newbie, this Einhell router has been brilliant. I previously used a heavy wired plunge router which was arduous. Wish I'd had this machine sooner. It is so much better - light-weight, manoeuvrable and accurate. I already had other Einhell kit so the batteries work across the range - I use a bigger size battery from a chainsaw, which didn't affect my control of this router at all. As others have mentioned, I bought this with the Makita collet (link below) so I could use 1/4" bits. Worked a treat - the old collet lifts out (I used pliers to pull it out) and the new one slides in. Easy. Excellent router, have found Einhell products very reliable, only the odd problem and aways replaced or refunded under their excellent warranty.

This is an amended version of my original review. I originally gave the product 2 stars and stated that I was not impressed by the fact that the collets were metric and that you couldn't use imperial sized shank bits, which are by far the most commonly found. You can't even use standard imperial collets that come with other routers as they just do not fit. This meant that I hadn't been able to use the router at all since buying it a few weeks earlier. I have now since found the spare 1/4" collets on Amazon that fit Makita routers which also fit these Einhell routers and are now able to use the router. The router works very well, and due to already owning a considerable amount of Einhell power exchange items, I have a good collection of batteries to keep it going. The router is very comfortable to hold and the height adjustment is good, the thumb wheel adjuster works well. Overall, it's not a bad piece of kit for the money, but it is still annoying that you have to source a collet to be able to use your collection of imperial router bits, and because of that I can only give 4 stars instead of the 5 that I would usually give to Einhell products.

Lovely router, I use this one more than my larger model. So easy to use. One of my best buys yet.

This is a lovely little trim router. One of the reason I chose it was that I already had some Einhell batteries. In reviews this router seemed to be second only to DeWalt palm router, but much cheaper. I already had a lot of quarter inch diameter router bits, but this Einhell router DOES NOT have a collet for 1/4 " bits. It takes 6mm bits which are different enough not to fit. Solution is easy. Buy a quarter inch collet. The Makita 763637-1 Collet Cone is perfect (and available on Amazon). Now I can use all router bits. It is a pity that Einhell does not include such a collet in the box. In use this little router is lightweight and reasonably quiet. It has proved powerful enough for anything I have used it for: creating lettering on signs, rounding edges, etc. It does come with guides, dust extraction connector etc, but I haven't used those. I am very pleased with this item.

Für gut 100 € habe ich mir diese Akku-Kantenfräse von Einhell gekauft um schnell und ohne Stromkabel Kanten an Brettern und Leisten anfasen zu können. Das Werkzeug liegt gut in der Hand, ist aber durch den oben angebrachten Akku etwas kopflastig. Hier nutze ich kleine Akkus mit geringerer Kapazität um die Balance zu verbessern. Das ist kein Problem, da die Fräse nur wenig Strom verbraucht und auch die kleinen Akkus lange halten. Der transparante Absaugadapter funktioniert sehr gut - fräsen ist eine recht saubere Sache. Die Einstellung von Frästiefe, Drehzahl etc. ist einfach und intuitiv. Der Werkzeugwechsel ist Dank des Arretierungsknopfes sehr einfach. Das Fräßergebnis hängt natürlich vom verwendeten Fräser ab. Meine sind gut und so ist auch das Ergebniss. Ob Kanten anfasen oder eine Öffnung mit Schablone und Bündigfräser erstellen - alles geht schnell und einfach. Fazit: sehr gute Handfräse (v.a. wenn man schon andere Geräte / Akkus von Einhell nutzt)
