As we need a higher 4 wheel vehicle I found it was too tall to easily enter. So I thought this MIGHT help. I found these handles to be the perfect thing to use!!! I am not short but rather a tall woman. Ever tried to enter a tall truck or car with a skirt on??? So anyone that is of a shorter size would benefit from using these..sturdy, study handles.I love these door handles giving me extra help. I can get in, and out, easily and comfortably. Not only that but I also found out that our Great grandchildren do love to be able to use these sturdy handles. The Greats LOVE to be able to brag that they can NOW get in, and out of Pops and Grand truck without help.They are not flimsy. It took a time or two practicing how I wanted to use these handles. It is different than trying to have to "crawl" into the truck. Once I figured out how I wanted to use them it is easy to step up and get in. NO longer do I have a backache or twist my ankle trying to get in and out.Yes I may be older but I am still thinking and acting I am still young, so I know you DO NOT have to be elderly to appreciate these wonderful handles. This product is so simple to use, just open the door, snap it into the doorframe and help yourself getting out. Carry it with you if riding with someone else. Very simple and strong.

Very helpful in getting out of “low to the ground” vehicles. Also nice hold for getting out of high vehicles. Haven’t had to use the windshield smasher or the knife, but the handle works real well.

This is my review of the KOUNATSURI 2 Pack Car Door Handle for Elderly Car Handle Assist Support Handle. My wife is 76 years old and has some mobility issues. Getting into our Jeep Grand Cherokee can be problematic, especially to get properly positioned into her seat. She says having this handle gives her something to brace herself on as she adjusts her position. She feels this really helps her, especially getting into the car. It's nice that you can place the handle pointing out away from the car and/or pointing towards the front of the car, parallel to the passenger. It is easy to slip into and out of the door bracket. The handle is comfortable with the soft sponge covering and the ribbing looks nice and provides extra gripping texture. The sponge also keeps is from making a noisy rattling when it is resting in the door pocket as we drive. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is the fact that, thought it is nice to have it light, the lightness also makes me wonder how durable it will be over time and use and the sponge on the handle also gives the feeling that it will not be very durable over the long term. However, we have only had them for a few days and I may be proven wrong. I hope so.

The media could not be loaded.  I keep these handles on my glove box to use when I need them for a special needs adult. The handles give him something low to grab onto to help get in and out of the car. That overhead grab bar mounted on the car is not always ideal, so this is a good supplement. I also like that it comes with instructions that explain that the metal tip can be used to break a window in an emergency and there is a hidden razor blade on the handle that can be used to cut a seatbelt.Good value to keep these in the car for when I need them.I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. * (note that the pics look somewhat pink, but the handle is red in person). I was a little skeptical that these would actually work, but they are sturdy and work great! I found it best to insert the handle in the bracket and push it away from you on a slant. They seems to "lock" into place well and do not come loose. This is a great, affordable solution if there is not a handle grip on the driver's side like in my Ford Ranger Lariat.

These work just as described. They are very strong and useful. A good tool to keep in your vehicle.

My wife broke her leg and having this device gives her an extra handle to grab going in and out of the car. We keep it in the pocket of the door. It also is handy to have if you need a step to access your roof luggage rack. Very sturdy. The last 2 features are an added plus. The ability to break a window or cut a seat belt. I came upon an accident once where I could have used this device. We use this device almost on a daily basis going to and from therapy. Great product.
