SWIMLINE Fruit Slice 60' Fun Island - Colors May Vary Large

I absolutely ADORE this float! First off it really does look like a giant fruit slice; secondly it has been so versatile on my beach trip! I am 5 feet tall and this thing is almost as tall as I am; if I sit on it vs lying down I can sit completely above the water. I bought the fruit slice version (I got the watermelon version for me) for my husband; we got very lucky and got the exact lime he wanted. My husband is 6 feet tall and about 185 pounds; he floated very well in this, the float was stable, and he could dip his feet in the water while the rest of him stayed above water.This float has been used to:Float in an estuaryFloat in a calm oceanRide 1-3 foot surfSunbathe on the beach like it was a beach chairLounge around watching TV in the beach house floorSleep on when my husband started snoring (LOL)If you treat this item with a little respect it should last at least a season; it is one interconnected air chamber which minimizes the number of seams where air leaks can occur. The valve is a standard pool toy type valve, but you'll DEFINITELY want an electric air pump of some kind. It took several minutes for me to blow up with my little car socket air pump. It was tough to fit in our little Ford Focus; we had to fold the rear seats down and let out just enough air to squish these floats in. But they did fit!Some tips for extending the toy's lifespan:Don't overfill it; you need enough for it to maintain shape and float you but it doesn't need to be rigid. In fact if it has more flex in it it hugs the waves better. This gives the toy some flex room both for when a person gets on and increases the air pressure as well as when the air expands in the hot sun. Watch where you set this toy down; some beaches are made of very sharp crushed shell pieces and even pool decks you should check for glass. Don't let your kids drag the float; pick it up off the ground when transporting it. Don't let your kids pile-drive it if you want the float to last; if you don't mind replacing it then pile driving it is REALLY fun. Lol!Cons:This toy does not have any handles whatsoever or tie-off points. I had some hilarious moments belly flopping onto it to catch a wave ride. If it escapes you you better go chase it! The whole thing is the perfect shape to be a huge sail; I weigh about 115 when I'm overweight (Mmmmm beach food!) and I had quite a time not getting blown over by the wind. It might send a kid my size or smaller flying.

This is our second one. The first one was destroyed by kids jumping onto it and piling onto it. This is actually one of the sturdier pool toys we have purchased and I was glad to purchase a second one. The material is thick enough for a pool toy and the unit will easily support an adult's weight. I am 5'10" and it is comfortable to relax on. I am not into sun-bathing, but if you are, this could be a great way to relax in the pool while you do it.Needless to say, this is a family favorite in terms of pool stuff. Kids absolutely love it.It may just be me, but I think the pool actually looks more inviting with the lemon slice floating around in it.

This is cheaply made, doesn't hold air and the worst float we have ever purchased. Do not buy from this seller

Blew it up on July 3rd and placed it in the pool. This morning it’s flat and doesn’t hold air. We haven’t even used it yet! I have purchased several Swimline pool floats in the past and many have lasted more than one summer! Very disappointed.

Purchased this float toy to use on the ocean as a supplement while our boat is anchored up. We were pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. It rides high enough with one adult on it that you shouldn't get wet, even in small chop. It will fit two adults fairly comfortably (if you don't mind proximity). We even brought it to the beach and it withstood some small abrasion from sand. Other reviewers have noted it has no handle or tie-off point. I can see how it would be convenient, but would significantly increase the cost on something that is one-ply construction and would probably rip out with the application of any significant force. This only cost $10.00 after all. We found that just running a line to the person on the raft with a loop for them to hold on to was sufficient. My only complaint is that the valve doesn't open well for deflation (or inflation) and it took 15 minutes to do both. But that aside, for $10.00 it's essentially a throw-away toy and it performed well for the day.

These are huge!!!! I ordered 3 because we live in a town that is filled to the brim with fruit orchards..not to mention our property is overflowing with them too. I was hoping for an orange, lemon and lime...got 2 limes and 1 orange. Still really cute. You can lay across these and not get wet if you are careful. Some nice mornings I would take my book out to the pool and gently get on the slice and float around while I read. So nice. The hold air really well. I recommend getting a float pump!! They are cheap and they plug in to charge..no batteries yay! One of the lime slices finally bit the dust after hard wear and tear. My puppy learned how nice it was to float around on it too and got a little crazy one day. We have learned our lesson! Great float!!!

These are pretty cool. One has held up well, the other has not. the inside started to rip and it will be a doughnut soon. the only other thing that didn't satisfy me about the purchase is that during ordering if you selected more than one tube, they would try to get you different ones, like the lime slice, orange slice, or lemon slice. I ordered two and got both orange slices. The manufacture date is on them, and the one that is failing is the older manufacture date.

I purchased this float since my kids like to float in the pool but can't easily sit in an inflatable ring. The fruit slice is plenty large for a child, but an adult would have a difficult time lounging on it. The material seems durable and has held up well for the past month that we've used it.My only suggestion is that Amazon should let customers SELECT THE COLOR! I ended up with a "lemon slice" float that attracts sweat bees like crazy!

They look amazing. Take forever to blow up and deflate. Can hold 2 people on them. Also get holes after 10 beach days :(They only cost $15 when i got them. Not worth over $25. Sad to see them just go to the landfill now...
