Great backpack but flaw for bigger/taller guys that need to wear for a long time
I’m a boat captain in Maui off Ka’anapali Beach and sometimes I have to swim 200 yards off shore to get the boat. This back pack is perfect for wearing while I swim and it keeps all my stuff dry. I also love the zipper compared to the rolling water proof backpack I used for years and years. Now the flaw, the backpack is not very comfortable to wear over a long period of time. Maybe everyone doesn’t feel this way but I’m sure bigger/taller guys do. I’m 6’4” and I wear this bag for a long time because I wear it on my 40 minute ride to work on my motorcycle every day I work and I’ve found the straps to be thin and not very big for taller guys back. I compared the straps to my very comfy roll up backpack and where the straps connect to the top of the backpack and the bottom of it are further apart. The strap on the backpack needs to be longer at the sew points. When I loosen the straps, that’s not comfortable, (feels like grade school when sagging backpack was cool) So I try to tighten it to where it fits nicely on my back but since the straps’ sew points are too close together, it feels like it’s squeezing my arms. Hopefully on their next bag, the sew points won’t be so close together like a child’s backpack. I attached pictures to show exactly what I mean.I also attached another picture of what I feel makes the roll up back pack very comfortable, the shoulder extension straps. Maybe Breakwater doesn’t have any newer models to replace their current. But hopefully one day, they do.Edit: the zipper broke (small kine), and breakwater was happy and fast to get started to send me a replacement.

Perfect Waterproof Backpack for my Cameras!!!
I'm absolutely thrilled with my new waterproof backpack! As a photographer, I've had my fair share of close calls with rain and water damage. But this backpack has been a total game-changer. I've submerged it in water, worn it in torrential downpours, and even used it as a makeshift flotation device (just kidding, but it's that buoyant!) - and my gear has stayed bone-dry every time. The material is incredibly durable, and the sealing system is top-notch. I've packed my cameras, lenses, and accessories with confidence, knowing they'll be safe from the elements. The backpack itself is comfortable to wear, with padded straps and a sleek design that doesn't scream "waterproof" (in a good way).Pros:- Truly waterproof (not just water-resistant!)- Durable material and construction- Comfortable to wear- Keeps gear dry in extreme conditionsCons:- None (seriously, I'm struggling to think of any!)This backpack has given me the freedom to shoot in any weather, without worrying about my gear. Rainy days are no longer a concern - in fact, they're now an opportunity to capture unique shots without stress. If you're a fellow photographer or just someone who loves the outdoors, do yourself a favor and invest in this amazing waterproof backpack. Your gear (and you) will thank you!

Large capacity and completely waterproof
This is not a long term review as I’ve only had this backpack a week. I bought it for an upcoming trip (October 2023) to Florida and the Bahamas. My wife and I travel to Florida several times a year visiting the theme parks and it practically rains every day. We always carry a backpack to keep our cell phones, car keys, wallet, money, jackets, etc. Our stuff has gotten soaked several times throughout the years. Some things I like about this backpack is the overall size and capacity. Although it doesn’t have a lot of pockets for organization, you can fit a ton of stuff in it. We don’t carry a laptop but there is an area for one. I’m 6’2 and weigh 240 and the backpack is comfortable. The straps are wide and don’t dig in and there is good padding on the back. I like that the material is not cloth and it can be wiped clean. That will be nice for the beaches in the Bahamas. There are 2 water bottle pockets that are stretchy so they should fit a variety of sizes. Overall the backpack seems well made and the zippers feel very durable. I have tested it for waterproofness with a garden hose and it passed. I’m hoping it does the same in Florida. If not, I’ll update my review.

Great backpack!
This backpack is heavy duty! I work as a camp counselor at an outdoor camp and have used it in various weather conditions (rain/shine) and at different nature spots (lakes, waterfalls, rivers, trails, etc). I haven't tested its waterproof claim yet (been meaning to do so in my bathtub), but I have worn it while it rained, and the stuff in my backpack was absolutely dry!The zippers are hard to move, but that's because they are supposed to prevent water from seeping through. I do like how there is a pocket you can slip your phone into that you can see on the outside, and the material covering your phone is thin enough so that you can still touch your phone screen!I prefer this backpack to the other ones that have the openings at the top that you have to roll down --- it's so much easier just being able to unzip the backpack and grab what I need!I think the only thing that tripped me up at first was the price point, but, other than that...I would highly recommend this backpack!

Quality Product
I purchased this backpack a little over a year ago. I've held off on reviewing because I wanted to test the product thoroughly. The price tag is certainly hefty but I must say I feel it's worth it. I do quite a bit of saltwater wade fishing and I keep my wallet, cellphone, and keys in the backpack. There has never been any water intrusion and it's taken many splashes and been dunked on several occasions. I haven't any issues with the zippers as they form a tight seal when closed properly. A few reviews commented on how hard it is to open the zipper but I didn't find this to be a major issue. Overall a high quality product that delivers as advertised.

Versatile & Necessary Outdoor Piece of Gear!
Perhaps the most versatile waterproof backpack I have found. Terrific while kayaking in the Galapagos. Filled it with a lot of valuable gear such as camera etc. …in the water…oops….no problem. It floats ….Plenty of space for small laptop or large iPad. Good investment.
