Reviving old books in a modern approach is nice and can give the right push into a passionated Shakespeare lover.

Great idea to do manga style books of the shakespeare works.... my son doing the tempest at school...and I thought this would be great for him to pick up the story quickly...and then find the whole thing easier. There are five I think of these in a series.....so covers a bit of ground...and keeps up with the young folk! My wife has discovered Manga Maths......that should be interesting.................

I have always loved manga and the manga shakespeare series is no exception, however the tempest version to me is just a bit boring, to be fair its not shakespeare's best play, although the drawing and artwork is very well done and detailed. If you're a fan of shakespeare or manga then you should like this, otherwise, its best avoided

This book is perfect for anyone who may be interested in digesting Shakespeare's work but may be put off with reading volume upon volume of plays, fun to read and FANTASTIC artwork.

I am a teacher and bought that book to offer my students a great alternative to the classical drama version. I combined both the manga and the classical version and asked the students to compare the two versions. I personally think that this is a good opportunity to deal with Shakespeare in another than the classical holistic reading attitude.

It's just the text like I wanted. No paraphrase.

I love using the Arkangel Shakespeare audio when teaching the play, and this was no exception. My 7-8th grade students read along with the actors performing the lines exactly as they appear in the book. No side by side needed with this performance because the clear acting carries the meaning and like Shakespeare's audience, my students go to HEAR the play. No skipping or editing lines here. Listeners hear it all. This audio is a superb performance!
