Absolute hit with my 10 month old!!!
I know the recommended age is 12+ but after purchasing we decided to give it to our daughter now, she is 10 months old. She loves puzzles and anything that makes noises so these are perfect. Plus it's wooden which I love as we don't want to give her loads of plastic toys.I was a little unsure about the price but the blocks are actually the perfect size for her little hands and no small pieces, she will most likely play with it for a few years so totally value for money. One of the blocks has a large amount of glue left on the side which would be our only complaint (she is teething so everything goes in her mouth and we are a little over protective), we have had to scratch it off. The excess glue is why I gave it four stars. It came packaged beautifully so would make a lovely gift, all blocks were wrapped up nicely in pairs or individually. Every piece is high quality wood and beautifully painted. If all Let Toy Van toys are like this I will be buying a whole lot more.

Personally feel not suitable for 12 month olds
Probably not suitable for a 12-month-old who is still taking everything to the mouth. The bell in mine got rusty very quickly and therefore had to take it out of the set. I think they are great though for older children who have passed that stage, a great idea.

Beautiful good quality toy
This is a nicely designed toy. It seems sturdy. The pieces are nice and easy to handle. It is 2 games in one:- sensory play with all the action and feel features for each block- shapes sortingThe colours are fresh and beautiful.

Beautiful blocks with multi functionality.
Certainly not cheap but was a special gift and my daughter loves these, she stacks them, matches colours and shapes all while enjoying the sensory elements of each shape. They're a good hand size for littles made with gorgeous wood and soft bright colours. Several offer opportunities for developing motor skills too which is an added bonus.

The grasshopper stopped working within days
The set is visually appealing to both my daughter and myself although, as with all Le Toy Van products, the painting is far from perfect. The shapes are a bit repetitive as there are two shakers, two fabric shapes etc but my real problem is that the grasshopper toy which made a pleasing clicking sound when turned stopped making the sound within days of arrival. It is now a pointless toy as it doesn’t do anything and isn’t an interesting shape or texture.

sensory shapes
Bought this for my 1 year old grandaughter, I did think it was a bit pricey, but it is good value for money, hand made, it will never break and can be handed down to more grandchildren. So worth the money.

Yellow triangle piece was broken. Pricey.
The yellow triangle one has a small crack (also chipped piece) at the corner. The bottom soft fabric part is not so round hence does not fit into the base. This triangle piece was not so well packed as the rest, it looks like that this was a broken piece which was swapped with the a good one in the box I received. It’s too expensive for what I got.

Not worth the money
I loved the idea of this and it looks lovely but I’d say it’s not worth anywhere near what it costs. The green clicky shape (probably the best thing in there) stopped working within a couple of weeks and 2 of the shapes are pretty much the same thing. The paint has also already started to wear thin in places.
