Read Optics Folding Reading Glasses +1 to +3.5, Easy to Fold Flat Quality Eyeglasses with Tough Protective Case

I have recently undergone Cataract operations having been virtually blind in one eye and nearly blind in the other. I now have excellent vision from what the surgeon described to me as being (20/20) Mid To Long Range vision. Anything closer than two feet away would require reading glasses. I purchased several pairs of reading glasses and wasn't that impressed to be honest until I purchased these ''Read Optics Glasses.'' They are excellent in quality throughout and fold away in a glasses case (provided) no thicker than my small finger. Although more expensive than many reading glasses these are sturdy and yet very light. It goes to show that you only get what you pay for, and as far as your eyes are concerned I think you should invest in a pair of these because of what I have just described and also because they carry a lifetime no quibble Guarantee.

This is my second pair of these fantastic glasses. They fold down flat in the box that comes with them and can be easily slipped into a pocket. Great product!

The spectacles are well made and appear to be quite robust. The optics seem good quality. I bought them as I'm fed up with pound shop readers, I must have been getting through at least a pair a week. The two-way folding mechanism is clever and enables them to fold into the very slim case, which is a bonus.The only reason for 4 stars is that the case is a bit flimsy and if it breaks they will need a regular case and will lose the benefit of compactness. I'm going to treat the case with care.Another reviewer said it was not possible to put them on one handed, eg at a shop till with one hand full. I've been experimenting and and it is perfectly possible - the dual sprung / rotating arms make it initially tricky but quite easy after a couple of practice runs. Don't let that put you off.Altogether very pleased with the specs after using them daily for a couple of weeks.

These are great, I wear prescription glasses too, I use these when I go out because they are neat and slim unlike a standard glasses box.

I found these a little blurred, I usually get +2 but thought I would try +3, my fault.

These reading glasses are more expensive than many other brands but they are well worth it. They arrived promptly after purchase. They are very robust and well made and they look good. The way that they fold into their case is ingenious, allowing the csse to be very thin but at the same time very protective. I am really pleased with the purchase.

The glasses are of good quality, and are an excellent piece of design. The hinge assembly at either side rotates through 90 degrees, so, as the side pieces are flat ie do not wrap around the ear, the spectacles fold virtually flat once the sides pivot.The weak point, and the reason for the poor review (and the complaint to Amazon, who dealt with it well), is that the case, which is needed to keep the spectacles flat (otherwise they spring back to their normal position) has design weaknesses, and is not fit for purpose.This is mentioned in other bad reviews here. I had assumed the manufacturer would have seen these, and addressed the problem. Sadly, they haven't.The weaknesses are as follows:1. The two hinges are held together by short metal pins.. These are just a sliding fit, only friction holds them in place. So, guess what, after a few openings they slide out, unnoticed, and get lost. The case is then unusable.2. The clip at the front is just a plastic strip with attached hook - this is pushed in to disengage the hook from a corresponding ridge in the upper part of the case. The mechanism just about works the first few times it's operated, but, with use, more and more pressure needs to be applied to free the hook. The case is so slim that it is very difficult to grip the two halves, whilst simultaneously pushing ever harder on the clip, to open the case. Eventually the case won't open at all.The case is essential to enjoy the main benefits of these (cleverly designed and well built) glasses. Unforrtunately it really is not up to the job.

I only need glasses for reading and my work and life mean I am always moving around. I had several different pairs of glasses located in bags and offices, but still could not find them when I needed them.These are great for me. They seem well built and the design is easy to use and ingenious. Easy to carry in a pocket with being bulky, I always have them with me. I bought another pair for my wife, but she would prefer a different colour. Gold would look good.Simple easy to use and convenient.

Gute Qualität. Die Brille ist durch das Etui sehr geschützt und sehr leicht einzustecken.

Hab die Brille nun seit gut einem halben Jahr in Benutzung. Jeden Tag mehrfach auspacken aufsetzen und wieder einpacken. Die Gelenke und die Federungen haben kein Stück nachgegeben, die Brille ist immer noch wie neu auch das Etui ist noch in Ordnung. Einfach super

Proaktisch und immer dabei. Durch die stabile Hülle auch ind er Hosentashce gut zu transportieren. Im Sakko ebenso. Empfehlenswert.

Use (and abuse) these continuisly. The rims are surprisingly durable given the price and they still work great. The glasses are not as scratch-resistant as more expensive glasses.

I started buying this type of reading glasses few years ago. Now I have at least 4 pairs.
