Ability Superstore Tri Ferrule

Following an accident I was using a walking stick for a number of weeks and struggling with stability and confidence. When looking on Amazon for a tripod walking stick I found this gadget and bought this for my existing stick instead. It was fantastic. Got someone with strong arms to help me fit it but think I could have done so myself with patience. It makes the stick feel very secure and gave me a lot of confidence. It grips to the floor just the right amount as I feel that too much grip could also make me unsteady and cause me to stumble. It holds the floor well without suctioning and sticking to it. It is small so no tripping over it, however it's also wide enough to keep the stick very steady. Excellent buy. Having this really brought on my recovery.

I recently purchased two ferrules for my NHS walking sticks and I am delighted with them. I had spotted several people with these (or similar) and I literally accosted them to ask their opinions. All were very happy with them, saying they were a big improvement on the normal rubber ferrules (they all told me where to buy them too - here!) After I received mine, and with very little practice in using them, I agree with them totally. The ferrules fit my sticks with just a little persuading, less help than the previous ferrules which at 19mm needed help with a strong hand to fit! These ferrules spread wider than the usual ones so a little thought is required in not stepping on them at the start of using them, this is not a criticism just a learning curve. The important part in my view is that they DO NOT slip, either on damp grass, wet pavements and just as important, if not more so, inside on tiles/wood/laminate flooring. On reading other reviews before purchasing I noted that some had been bought with hope that they would help walking sticks stand upright on their own or to stop them falling to the floor. Obviously people buy items for different reasons and this was only a very small consideration in my buying mine. Personally I wrap the stick handles several times with 'gripper mat' this stops them sliding around when balanced on counters etc. and generally helps them from falling about. I Love these ferrules, a little amount of money spent wisely.

Very good and sturdy ferrule, and provides stability. The only problem i had was that the walking stick was one that could retract, so the lower part was narrower than an ordinary stick. I therefore had to improvise a way of making it fit tightly. I did not see any option to purchase a smaller size.

It enables my walking stick to stand when I stop and have to take my hand off. It has a slight ‘give’ in the middle which means it’ll bend as you move! It’s a really handy addition to any walking stick and is great value for money.

Although I do have have profound mobility issues I didn't actually buy this for any of my collection of walking sticks. I actually bought it for a monopod for photography which will make life a lot easier for me. It fits perfectly for this purpose but the last extension, the one it goes on, is extremely thin and I'm not sure it would fit any of my sticks. But I do use thicker sticks as they are weight baring as well as a balance aid. Also, although I do like aids wherever possible, I'm not one for drawing attention to my difficulties if I can help it, I point blank refused any NHS sticks, and this isn't the most discrete aid.

These Tri ferrules are fantastic. My husband needs two sticks to enable him to walk and they tended to skid every time the weather was wet which sapped his confidence and made him unwilling to go out in inclement weather. These new Tri ferrules do not skid at all and are really stable which has resulted in his confidence returning and he is now comfortable going out again. The feet are wider than the previous ferrules but he quickly got used to them. Would recommend them to anyone who is in a similar position.

Great item prevents your walking stick from slipping when you walk out of the rain into a building with tiled floors . Also helps to keep the stick upright when you are paying at tills so no need to try and prop stick up somewhere . Had to slightly sand end of stick down for wooden sticks but fitted strait onto metal ones . Feel a lot more confident when out walking occasionally have caught Ferrol with foot but soon get used to allowing extra space for it

Très bien, bien adapté, permet une meilleure stabilité dans la marche et antidérapant, peu tenir debout seule donc très pratique et m'évite de me baisser pour ramasser. Ravie de min achat, livraison très rapide, arrivé avant le jour annoncé et très bien emballé.

C'est ton bout est parfait pour mettre à votre canne cela permet un bon maintien et surtout que la canne reste debout et non pas la mettre par terre lorsque vous êtes soit au restaurant ou sur une terrasse
