I read the reviews (sometimes conflicting) about size. I can take a 6.5 in some brands, but usually need a 7. I tried the non-GTX version (purchased by mistake and returned) and those were slightly too roomy without socks (just tights). These GTX ones feel very slightly smaller, but still fit, and I suspect will give because they are well padded. If you want to wear thick socks from the start, maybe go a half size up. But they are padded and warm enough to get away with thin socks anyway.In all other respects they seem great. Comfortable from the start, light but robust, and they allow a good heel to toe gait with push-off from the grippy sole coming slightly up the toe. Perfect for hiking in a warm country (which is what I wanted them for) or the UK (unless you're going into boggy terrain or through deeper water!).

Every time I look to replace my trail running shoes, I always end up buying the next generation of these each year. Most comfortable and grippy shoes I own. They are the more rigid type of running shoe, so definitely I advise to size up for comfort. I wear a 6 in these, normally a 5/5.5 and occassionally they can feel constraining.

Love the shoes, lovely colour, extremely comfortable. I read the reviews on recommending to size up. I'm a 6, bought the 6 and had to get the 6.5. The 6.5 is snug but a perfect fit for me. Not fully weather tested yet but very happy.

Perfect for when it's really muddy outside. The grip is INSANE and completely waterproof. No more coming home with wet feet!Only negative is that if the conditions are not muddy, wouldn't recommend to run with them

I would say the most benefit you just commit no matter the terrain. Superior comfort and support. Another great product

Sizes not accurate- definitely go a size up - If your normally a 5 order a size 6

I have been using these for a month fairly regularly and while they are comfortable, the waterproofing has not lasted. I would not buy these again given the whole purpose was to keep my feet dry on rainy dog walks. Very disappointed.

This is the second pair of Salomon speedcross I have purchased. They are very comfortable and great for trails and hill walking too. Still to test out on a sogggy wet day but they look like they will stand the test, well made. I always go up half a size in trail shoes so the 5-5 fit me perfect

This really rubbed on my ankles and I returned them. Disappointed. Really wanted to love these. My keen shoes fit better for me so have gone back to keen

I ordered this just before a trip to England where i would be doing one of the walks up there. And it was going to rain a lot. I wore them without ANY breaking in and they fit perfectly. No foot soreness after 100 miles. Note: I have high arches. They kept their waterproofing pretty well until day three where the rain was just sluicing off my rain parkaed body down my rain pants into my shoes. But just walking through wet grass and the like, they withstood that. I bought another pair just to have on hand.
