His Email Strategies Work
After reading this book, I put Chris Fenning's email strategies to practice to see if they would help. To my delight, they did help quite a bit! I've probably cut down about 50% of the emails that I have to send out, and I've been getting responses to my emails that are more concise and to the point. It's like my colleagues saw how I was forming my emails and tried to mimic what I was doing, which I appreciate. This id definitely a must read if you feel like you're drowning in emails or if your job necessitates that you write emails.

Useful high level ideas, bu lacking useful examples
The book has some useful high level ideas, but the same emails are used in examples. I was hoping for more real world examples.

Excellent book - prepare to see your productivity skyrocket!
If you currently spend hours writing emails that are not generating the outcomes that you seek, then this book is for you. Prepare to see your productivity skyrocket, if you follow its straightforward recommendations!'Effective Emails' is a short and easy read. The two hours that I spent reading the book have already paid dividends, thanks to less time spent drafting emails and not having to repeatedly follow up on messages sent. The book begins by summarizing what you need to say in the first few lines and how to optimize the subject line. The author explains how to ensure any questions, actions, and decisions achieve results by addressing who will do what, and by when. I particularly appreciated the case study that demonstrates how a long email can be transformed into a concise and actionable message, where every recipient understands their next action.Chris Fenning is a master in effective business communication. His previous book 'The First Minute - How to start conversations that get results,' is also excellent, highlighting the importance of clear intent, talking about one topic at a time, and focusing on solutions instead of dwelling on problems.
