Pastry: The Complete Art of Pastry Making

What an excellent book. As a once professional Chef and having lost most of my cook books due to relocating I have started to build up my cook book library and I came across this fine book. For the pastry enthusiast this is a must have covering all the fundamentals of the pastry making section, in fact listing some recipies i didn't know. It covers recipes in fine detail, has numerous recipes from savoury to sweet and definitely a great purchase. In hind sight I should have ordered the "hard back version".

I wanted to 'get to grips' with puff/flaky pastry. This book is perfect. It is a lovely book with all sort of recipes - sweet and savoury.

Wouldn't be without it! Pastry making is a black art .....that I have now mastered!

A very good guide to pastry making. I have bought this in the recommendation of others. Now I have time to bake I had forgotten so much, and dont want shop pastry anymore!! Wonderful pictures and how to guide. Super fast delivery as well 5 stars well done Amazon!!

just starting to bake pastry and this is a brilliant guide,well explained, beautiful illustrations and images with a helpful recipe section.

L'ho preso perché trovato ad un prezzo irrisorio e mi immaginavo un librino piccolo invece mi è arrivato un bel libro con ricette interessanti, ben spiegate e con fotografie belle. Considerate che è in inglese quindi chi ha problemi con la lingua lasci perdere, per gli altri consigliatissimo!

Wonderful wonderful book!! There are soooo many different recipes in here with pictures and step by step instructions! My fiancee (who enjoys baking) will love it! Much bigger than I was expecting and an incredible deal!! The price on the back is $18.99 but I only paid 5.13; what a steal! If you like pastries (not just desserts but actual meat and potatoes main course meals) then you will love this!

Actually checked this book out from the library and decided that it was so good that I had to buy it. Great recipes, beautiful pictures and for my cooking level was very easy to understand and follow the instructions. If you want to dabble in pastry cooking, I would say that this is a must have book.
