It should fit on any normal steering wheel. Universal

Q: will this fit a 2010 ford ranger xlt with facory laced leather cover 1"

It comes with two pieces of rubber to wrap the steering wheel. My steering wheel is wrapped with leather and I have a filler to help it be tight

Q: Does this knob have a hollowed out inside?

The knob is solid on a bearing shaft to spin on. The mounting plate hinges open to wrap the steering wheel to clamp onto it. Comes with two pieces of rubber to wrap the steering wheel for size of the wheel

Q: Will this fit a 1972 Volkswagen bus

I believe is is designed to fit a 1" thick steering wheel. It had to be shimmed to fit my fairly thick leather wrapped F350 wheel. I used a strip of medium hard rubber and it has been in place working perfect for 5 years.
