Herbatint | Hair Dye 3N Dark Chestnut

I’ve been using Herbatint for a while now and I’m really impressed with the results. This time I mixed the 6N and 7N shades, and the colour turned out beautifully natural, not too dark and not too light, just the perfect balance. It covered my greys really well, especially around the sides, without looking flat or too harsh. The formula is gentle on the hair and scalp, which is very important to me, and it left my hair feeling soft, shiny and healthy after colouring. I also love that it doesn’t have that strong chemical smell like many other dyes. The colour lasts well and fades naturally without turning brassy. Overall, a fantastic product that I will definitely keep using. Highly recommend!

Really nice colour, so shiny and no smell! I was a little concerned with the green tint but it's turned out beautifully and toned down the brassiness of my hair. I'm very allergic to hair dye but this has caused no reaction (do patch test first!)

6c Ash Blonde Herbatint. Easy to apply. I used my own gloves which were a much better fit. You need a small mixing bowl and spoon to mix the dye and developer. The box suggests you use a brush. I didn’t have one so used my hands and a comb. I was aiming to go darker after my hair went very blonde in the summer. I am 80% grey I reckon. I used about half the product on my shoulder length bob. I set timer to 38 minutes after I’d finished applying the gel. It came out much darker than the box photo suggests. A deep brunette on me ! Thankfully I like it. It covered the grey roots without any odd differences in colour. The enclosed conditioner was okay but not nearly as good as the Av**a one I use. So all in all a decent quality product. I’ll probably go a shade lighter next time !!

Great looks fab, one box was full coverage for long hair and evenly spread colour even over my blonde 2 tone hair. I have a sensitive scalp so highly recommend as this is more organic and ammonia free compared to other artificial and chemically dyes. Love the colour I got the light copper chestnut colour which was darker and more red than I thought but I wanted a slight red head look anyway and it has become slightly more brown after washing it a a couple times. I recommend using a colour protect and Sulfate free shampoo and conditioner to keep the colour in for longer, I have pictures with my hair down and up before and after, may look different from different lighting but just to give a general idea of the comparison and new look

I’m really disappointed with this hair dye. I specifically chose this vegan-friendly product because I have a sensitive scalp, but unfortunately it did not cover my grey hairs at all. I left it on for the recommended time and followed all of the instructions carefully, yet the grey hairs remained unchanged. I’m very unhappy with the results, especially as I chose this product expecting good grey coverage. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t purchase it again.

Love this stuff. Cannot use high street dyes due to allergy / sensitivity but completely fine with this one. Doesn’t smell bad and covers my greys

I've been using Herbatint Black hair dye for a year now, and i find it is the best one i've used so far. I will always try and buy any products which aren't tested on animals. All the main hair dye brands in the main street shops are all tested on animals, and i won't be apart of it anymore. So i found this brand which don't test on animals. Also they don't contain any of the nasty chemicals which they put in the 'main stream' hair dyes. I'm only 40 and have been dying my hair for years. And like any hair dye the dye does wash out, even with using a permanent dye. I only use it to mainly dye my roots, for me the box of dye (containing two bottles) lasts me a month or two as i only mix up a little at time for what i need it for. My hair feels good using this product. I did use Clairol before and i noticed how my head felt itchy and feel an irritation. After years of dying it and using high street permanent dyes(Superdrug)there came to a point where the dye wouldn't take to my hair anymore. Not long after dying it, then normal washing it, most of the dye would wash straight out again. I think my hair had enough horrible chemicals on and was trying to tell me to stop! :-) Which i did. Finding this product which has the more natural ingredients in it, i can honestly say that i haven't had any issue of the dye running straight out, like it did before. Which i'm really happy about.. For me buying this hair dye is a no brainer. It's not tested on animals, has no horrible chemicals which burn and irritate your head and make it sore! It's what i want from a hair dye!.. :-) Becky

I love the 4N color, and the brand is gentle on my scalp and gives beautiful, long lasting color. But will it suit you? Here's how to know: L'Oréal has a virtual hair color try on app. Definitely try it, as you can see what the color will look like on you without even applying any dye. It just superimposes the color on your live phone image. Also, consider determining your color palette. If you have blonde hair, you are either spring or summer, likely. If you are dark hair colored or brown, you may likely be an autumn or winter. Why is this important? You'll be able to search, say, "Autumn color palette online, and all those EXACT colors will look gorgeous on you, from clothes to makeup to hair. So, now look at the color of the veins on your wrist. If they are green or green-blue, you are autumn (dark hair) or spring (light colored hair). If your veins are blue or purple, you are winter (dark hair) or summer (light hair). Now you'll be able to pick colors that look gorgeous on you. Don't get L'Oréal, though, as that product feels so toxic that my body and brain go into shock for three days. Buy this product instead. It is much healthier and the hair looks beautiful fir days. Do consider a hot oil treatment immediately after getting your hair dyed, as it brings extra beautiful results. May you always look stunningly beautiful and shine!

I love herbatint. You can mix shades to create your perfect look. I like to mix 6c and 6n. Always get natural results. No scalp burning or bad smells. Covers my greys really well.

I`ve been using this color for about 7 years. The best I have found so far. Nice tint and it doesn`t smell like chemical hair dyes. Easy to apply on hair. Has got a jelly texture.
