NalgeneEveryday WH Bottle - 500 ml, Blue, Aluminium

Crazy as it may seem, I needed a bottle I could safely fill with hot water and use alternatively as a hot water bottle when camping and not worry about leaking. It's to early too say if it performs as advertised but it is robust and (so far) no leaking filled with hot water. I'm happy with the purchase and the postage was quick and excellent customer service from seller.UPDATEIt is definitely serving it's purpose (for me) as a hot water bottle, so when I go camping it can be used as intended and also form part of my water containment kit whilst keeping my overall pack weight down. Really pleased with the performance of this bottle and intend to purchase the 1ltr version.

This is a great water bottle. It feels substantial and not at all flimsy or cheap. There is no taste of plastic which can happen with cheaper bottles. Unlike water bottles designed with narrow top's this one is easy to clean. There is nothing to get grubby over time - because of it's very simple design. I considered other designs but dismissed them because I suspect they will were either flimsy or fragile or might break because of moving parts or become difficult to keep clean. This can take a few knocks or be dropped without worry. I do not use this for running and I'm sure runners out there would realise this type of bottle is not really designed to be used while moving. For everyone else who can stop or pause their activity to take a drink then this classic water bottle is a great choice. Looks great in blue...

I like this bottle. Was wanting to buy one for ages, mainly in order to avoid buying so much plastic!It is all good, nice colour (and many others to choose from), closes well, no leaks! The mouth is wide so you can wash it really well, reach down with the scourer. The disadvantage to wide mouth is that if you decide to drink on the moving bus, you'll end up wet. Another little rather unimportant but slightly irritating detail: When the bottle is empty and the lid is off, the bottle does not stand easily, gets out of balance.

Bought this bottle for work and hillwalkingWide mouth makes it good for refilling in rivers/streams and easy to add energy tablets/powders to your drink, but can make it a bit more difficult to drink from on the move, might end up with a bit of a wet chest. Seen you can buy adaptors for it though to make the mouth narrower, haven't tried these but could be useful.Iv found it very useful as a refill bottle, keep a sports bottle in outside pocket of my rucksack when walking as easy to drink from and a Nalgene bottle in my back to refill it from, as the Nalgene bottle won't leak in my bag like a sports bottle could.Screw top is very secure and bottle is lightweight but solid.Seems to be pretty robust and think it will last a long time.Haven't noticed any plasticy taste from it either so that's a bonus.Has volume increments up the side too, usefully if you are wanting to keep track of how much fluid youv take on board. These seem to be durable too and don't think they will be the kind of markings to rub off easily.I bought the 500ml size and it's about the size of a pint glass.

Just brilliant kit. It's a travel essential.If you are used to cheaper bottles, you'll be impressed by the robustness and thickness of the Triton materials.It's one of those magnificent items that never fails at fulfilling its primary task: it carries water, it doesn't pollute the water with aluminium and it never leaks a drop. You can chuck it on top of your laptop, books etc. in your rucksack.Unlike Sigg, there's no degradation of the interior over time.

this 0.5L Nalgene bottle is great for putting in your inside pocket to keep hydrated when on the move. I've used numerous of these bottles over the years which I've dropped from great height and watched it bounce down a steep cliff and it was still intact on the next morning before I went to do another climb in the same area. Great wide mouth neck to poor hot water into and makes it easier to open when it get to extreme cold conditions.

I had an old Nalgene bottle which was great. I'm now using the newer BPA-free ones made from a different type of plastic and I'm less keen. The 1 litre bottle has leaked a few times. I've now learnt to screw it on REALLY tightly and it seems to do the job, but I never had a problem with the old ones. Others here seem to still find it totally watertight so maybe I've just been unlucky. The other problem is that I had the 0.5 litre bottle and it dropped out of the pouch on my rucsac onto concrete and it split open. It seems that the current plastic is fairly brittle, I wonder if people's stories of dropping onto rocks etc relate to the non-BPA-free bottles which is a more flexible plastic. I might still try one again as a replacement, but it seemed only right to point out some potential weaknesses. And yes, if you're trying to drink while moving it is indeed tricky to not spill down your front!

This is the smaller version of the very popular Nalgene 32 oz. Wide-Mouth bottle. This is half the capacity of that bottle. It has the same durability and the same leak-proof qualities of the larger bottle.So, why would you want a smaller bottle? Because there are times when carrying around a 32 ounce bottle is impractical. A small bottle will easily fit in a backpack. It takes up less space in portable cooler. This is the perfect size for a kid's lunch box. The truth is, unless you are going some place where water or drinks are not within easy access, you do not need to carry a 32 ounce bottle. For hiking yes, but office and lunch uses, you do not.Nalgene bottles come in wide mouths and narrow mouths. It is easier to drink from the narrow mouth. A child will have an easier time drinking from the smaller mouth and the chances of spilling the drink is lessened. A smaller mouth, theoretically, also makes the bottle more leak-proof than it already is. I say theoretical because I have never had a Nalgene bottle leak. However, the narrow mouth will be harder to clean. You have to be careful to clean out the bottle after every use. Be sure to empty the bottle, rinse it well with clean water, turn it upside down, and make sure it dries completely. You do not want mold, mildew, and bio-film growing on the inside. It will be impossible to clean it out. You can try bleach. I have thrown out a narrow mouth bottle because mold grew on the inside. I neglected to clean it after use. It was a dark, blue bottle. If you have to have a narrow mouth, get the clear version. You need to be able to see the inside and check it for mold. I bought this in the wide-mouth to avoid the hassle. I only buy the clear bottles now.Highly recommended. You really cannot go wrong with the Nalgene bottles. They are totally leak-proof. Their durability is second to none. The wide mouth makes it easy to clean the inside of the bottle.

Perfekt für unterwegs. Durch die sehr große Öffnung ist das Trinken einfach. Es ist ein normaler Drehverschluss. Es läuft absolut nichts aus. Perfekt für die Freizeit, zum Sport und einfach nur so. Ich habe knapp zehn Euro bezahlt. Ich hatte bereits die gleiche Flasche in blau, aber weil ich sie schon seit vier Jahren habe, wollte ich mal die Farbe wechseln. Ich weiß, dass diese Flaschen sehr langlebig sind. Die Farbe Melone finde ich wirklich schön.
