Reimei scissors swing cut titanium coat SH120

Swing Cut Scissors take very little strength to use, and cut beautifully. Koichi Ogino, their designer, aimed to create the best scissors possible. He even paid attention to the sound they make when cutting. These super scissors come in three types; standard, fluoride coated, and titanium coated, and are definitely a cut above.I first saw them on NHK World's "Great Gadgets" show (search for "NHK World Swing-cut") and, when I saw how competitively they are priced, I wanted to get a pair. They were delivered direct from Japan and certainly met the high expectations set in that show. Whatever the thickness or type of material to cut, the clever design of these scissors mean you apply the same pressure all the time and get a very accurate, easy, cut. And yes. they make a very pleasing "snip" sound.I went for the titanium coated option because they turned out to be the cheapest - again, not what I was expecting. Apparently they will cut through much more than the others. The fluoride coated ones are designed to cut sticky things like duct tape - they won't stick to the tape, apparently.

This scissors feel expensive, and lightweight, but after 1 year of light usage on cutting some A4 sheets, it wont cut even paper properly now. The center wheel is just too weak it will create a gap very quickly, you want good quality scissors avoid these. I bought them because of the good reviews, but they are no where near the quality i was expecting

As always, there is good and bad...First, they are quite comfortable to use, but thumb hole is a little small, so they will only suit small hands. The blades are sharp and seem to be of a good quality. They cut paper very well, but not so good with fine string or cotton thread. In some cases no cut is made on things like sewing thread as the blades don't quite meet and allow the thread to slide between the blades without being cut. There is no play in the blades and no way to tighten them to solve this issue, so useless as general craft scissors.Overall a dissapointment, not the general pair of scissors I had hoped for.

Very comfortable scissors to use, extremely easy to follow odd shaped whilst cutting, very sharp and copes well with material a lot thicker than a single sheet of paper.What more could you want?I like them ...

These scissors are super-smooth and comfortable to use; so well made and a real joy to use! Worth every penny!!

These "Ever Sharp" scissors are the best on the market. They have a reciprocating lower blade and are made of the highest grade materials. You won't find a better pair anywhere!

刃がそれなりに鋭く仕上げてあり、咬み合わせもよく、機構も合わさってか、紙がサクサク切れます。普通コピー用紙10枚ならごく軽い力で切れました。20枚ともなると流石に根元2cmを過ぎるとそこそこ力を入れましたが、そもそもハサミでこんなに束ねて切る機会ある？という話ですね。もちろん厚紙もよく切れます。段ボールも縦目横目どちらでも軽く切れました（Amazon箱で実験）開閉そのものの抵抗感は、咬み合わせが良いのと、刃の根元の擦れる面積が広い分、安物のハサミよりあります。これがものを切ると逆転するので面白いですね。いい買い物でした。

I am more than satisfied with these scissors if that is what you call such a beautifully crafted instrument. I actually saw a show on a Japanese TV channel NHK Worldwide. They have a program called Great Gear that features products that are designed and made in Japan. The thought and testing that went in to the development of these scissors is beyond what I would ever imagined would be involved. I think these are the finest scissors I have ever seen or used in my life! I actually bought three pair; two for me and one for my daughter. She has used and loved these scissors as much as I have. If you want to have scissors that are "engineered" and not just manufactured then these are the ones to buy.I am extremely pleased with these scissors. Sugoi!

切り心地が気に入ってます。もちろん色々と使ってみた上で。はさみはどうしても使い捨てになってしまいますが、こちらはリピートしています。握りやすさもあるかとおもいます。もう一つ、刃がシルバーな安価な方がありますが、そちらとの違いはわかりませんでした。どう違うかなと思って買ってみたのですが、しいていうなら、見た目がかっこいいです
