Quality machine with a wide selection of connections
This device replaced my 5 year-old, larger desktop. My motivation was to have a quiet, small form factor and more powerful machine for home use. The initial Windows 11 boot up was smooth and I easily installed all the applications I used previously. This included a 2004 version of Quicken and 2010 MS desktop. To increase the overall memory capacity I added a separate 500GB SSD, see photo, to increase the overall memory to 1TB. In addition, I purchased a CD drive to assist in application installation and some Thunderbolt 4 to USB 3.2 adapters. You will also need to purchase a power cord to connect the transformer to you home outlet. This evidently frees Intel from having to have different version for international sales. All these items are available on Amazon My current setup Front USB 3.2 โ unused USB 3.2 โ unused Back: Thunderbolt 4 - SSD Thunderbolt 4 with USB adapter - camera HDMI โ monitor HDMI โ unused USB 3.2 โ mouse USB 2.0 โ keyboard RJ45 - Unused Wireless โ printer What I really like is the large number of high performance connections. This provides a lot of flexibility for new devices. For example, I can easily connect my slide scanner or CD drive to the front when needed. Iโm not a gamer, so I can comment on that performance aspect. The most processing intensive application I perform is 35mm slide scanning. This requires multiple scans per slide, specifically visible light, Infrared, for dust removal and a third scan to remove inherent scan jitter. The scan time is much less than my previous I5-8400 series processor. Itโs also very quiet, even when the fan runs occasionally. Overall it looks sharp, performs well and is very well made.

Three Years Strong and Still Going
Bought this back in 2023 and I'm writing this review three years later because I figured it was finally time to give credit where it's due. My Intel NUC 12 Pro has been running continuously since the day I unboxed it โ and I mean continuously โ without a single problem. Not one crash. Not one hiccup. Not one weird issue that made me Google a fix at 2 AM. Nothing. What I love: The silence is unreal. I keep mine on my desk and I genuinely forget it's powered on. No fan noise, no whining, no clicking โ just quiet, steady performance. I routinely run 10+ intensive programs at the same time, and somehow it just... handles it. The wild part? I'm still on the original 16 GB of RAM. I keep telling myself I'll upgrade "someday," but it's never struggled enough to justify it. The build quality is excellent for the size. It tucks away nicely, doesn't collect dust like a tower would, and looks clean on a desk. Bottom line: If you're debating whether a small form factor PC can really keep up with your workload โ yes. This one absolutely can. Three years in, zero regrets, and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend! Would recommend to a friend: Yes

Quiet operation a huge plus
The Intel NUC 12 Pro with the 12th Gen Core i5-1240P has been a great addition to my workspace. Its quiet operation was a surprise compared to an older NUC I had that sounded like a vacuum cleaner. I had been looking for a more expensive fanless case NUC, but glad I took a chance on this. Smooth and easy setup, no issues. The compact form factor doesn't seem to compromise on performance, and the 16GB DDR4 memory ensures responsiveness. A great choice if you're looking for a quiet, easy-to-use, and efficient mini-pc. Seller was great, good packaging, no complaints.

Incredible System, Incorrect Content
I bought this system to run a 3-monitor display networked to another main computer. I was impressed how easy it was to setup and how fast, and silent the system was. This system has an incredible array of USB ports and will support 4x4k (60hz) displays! But the description said 16GB of memory. When I check the system components, it said 8 GB of memory. I wouldn't buy from this vendor again. But Amazon couldn't give a credit for the memory, so I had to return the product. But I will buy another from another vendor. This 12 Gen Pro i5 is an incredible value. I am not sure why they wouldn't offer a 32GB+512 storage. I don't want to mess with the kit version.

12th Gen i5 is an absolute rocket!
I have purchased dozens of these NUCs over the years and I have no idea why most people wouldn't buy this form factor. The only reason to get a full size computer anymore is if you need a gamer video card. Even then the new Iris XE graphics on this unit is very powerful. These NUCS have built in everything - Wifi, Bluetooth, Thunderbolt, 4x4K screens or an 8k, and Windows 11 Pro to boot. waitloan store delivered what was promised on time and the product outperformed my expectations. This is how business should be - great job guys!

Great all around PC
This little machine is great! It did come with Windows 11, and I ran that for a short while with no issues. The main reason I got this was to host my Plex server. Fun fact, Plex does not transcode well on Windows. This machine has enough power to do it but windows is unable to. I now have it dual booting Windows 11 and Ubuntu with no issues at all. If you are wanting to run a Plex server like me, I highly encourage Ubuntu instead of Windows. I have it running 24/7 with no issues at all!

Intel NUC is a great mini PC
If you're looking for a small and powerful computer, this is a system that does the job well. I've purchased a couple of these NUC systems to work on light and intensive processing powered applications. These units are also stackable! I would buy again from this vendor.
