When I tried the supplements in this book I felt like a completely different person
Marcelle,You have truly changed my life.I have been sick since I was 12 (am now 24). Doctors diagnosed me with hypoglycemia when I was a teen. Diet changes over the years helped a bit, but I never fully recovered and was still very dependent on my family for help. I wondered if I would ever be a full adult, since I was exhausted 100% of the time and had severe mood swings. I missed out on a lot of things growing up because I was too sick and tired to participate.I diagnosed my self last summer after reading a few books about diseases, trying to figure out what was wrong with me since I was still sick. When I tried the supplements in this book I felt like a completely different person, so I knew I have adrenal fatigue. I went from 60% brain fog all the time to maybe 10%. I still get tired, but I think that will improve in the long run.The author describes adrenal fatigue in 3 different personality profiles. I used to be the tired flatliner when I was a kid, but am now the tired and wired workhorse. This will make sense when you read the book. I take 4 supplements she recommends, and 2 extras I found on my own. I need the extra help because I had such a crazy debilitating severe case. They are the reason why I am now a fully-functioning adult on my own. A year ago I never would have thought I'd be healthy enough to have my own place and take care of myself. So while diet changes over the past 10 years helped me feel better, nothing compares to the supplements I take. I and those around me notice if I forget them, they have THAT much of an effect on me. I don't even call them supplements, because they are my medicine. I'd rather have my medicine and go hungry if I ever get super poor. The book has changed my life in ways you can't understand. I'm finally living the life I always dreamed of having. So please I really urge you to read through this. You can skip the science parts and just read the adrenal fatigue profiles and supplements/diet part. You'll know if you have adrenal fatigue or not based on the quiz and the profiles.

The best book on Adrenal Fatigue I have found.
One of the most difficult parts of dealing with adrenal fatigue is changing diet. A naturopath told me in general what to eat, but I got bored with the two or three recipes she provided very quickly. The best part of this book is that it gives you a month's worth of meal plans, and recipes for every meal. They were actually very delicious and extremely easy and quick to prepare. There were a few I did not care for, but the majority of them were exceptionally good meals, which was surprising because they contain so few ingredients. They are well-seasoned, though, so they are very flavorful. I particularly like that she created shopping lists for each week, so you don't have to go through all the recipes and write down all the ingredients you will need to purchase.Don't expect to necessarily feel 100% improved after one month, as recovery from adrenal fatigue does take time, but there is a noticeable improvement within the first month, and after a few months, I no longer needed to take a nap when I got home from work or found myself nodding off at my desk in the afternoon. You can prepare the week's meals in advance and store them in containers to make it easier to stick to the diet.

Good Reference for Adrenal Problems
I'm thankful to Marcelle Pick for writing this book that I reference quite a bit. My adrenal function got so low that a few years ago I could barely stay awake driving 12 miles from a local town. Scary. It's a slow process to get back to normal since it didn't happen overnight. I also have another adrenal book that I purchased before this but, maybe because she is a female too, I feel comfortable with her knowledge and advice.

Good basic information
Good basic information to help you figure out what could be a cause of your fatigue. If you haven't been to a doctor yet this is a great place to start. This book walks you through identification, tests, treatments, etc. It also contains a ton of recipes! If you already have a diagnosis or have done a ton of research into adrenal fatigue this book may not be as helpful.

Very helpful
Pick's book is helpful on many levels, but the most helpful is how she gets through the medical talk in a simple, easy to understand way. Her information has me deciding to change how I live; to be more aware of how I affect my body later in life with the choices I make now. My mom has four sisters. I see each of them (including my mom) in what can happen when adrenals are tended to and when they are not. I'm a believer in what Pick says and I have recommended this book to several people. The recipes in the back are good -- not too restrictive, healthy, and easy to make. This book is a keeper, one to refer back to or read again.

New Lifestyle for Menopause Issues
Read whole book and finally found something to follow. Menopause would not let me lose any weight or even tone up because of hormonal imbalance. Coupled with this diet and exercise regimen in the book, I became a vegan for the mostpart, only eating organic or non-hormonal/antibioltic meats and poultry. That started me on the slow path to weight loss and toning ... going down 5 sizes, but needing more weight and toning to be complete. Gave me an excellent start at new lifestyle

Hormones, menopause etc links, and a way to tackle them.
Although I haven't finished this book, I have been very impressed by the information. If, like me and so many other women, you can't work out why you feel so bad ( see symptoms checklists etc) , when the tests are all negative, this has to be worth a try. Especially as it written for women, and their specific set of hormonal issues.

Interesting
It is a very thoroughly written book with excellent suggestions. Unfortunately my Adrenal dysfunction has gone beyond those mentioned in the book but there was no discussion of the later progress of the illness and how to exercise for that. It is an excellent book for those in the earlier stages tho

Excellent Book
I'm a nutritional therapist and naturopath but also an adrenal fatigue sufferer, and I highly recommend this book from both of these perspectives. Excellent information, holistic and well-rounded, well-researched, up-to-date. I'd suggest pairing it with "The Adrenal Reset Diet". The two books are very complimentary to each other in terms of the focus and scope. Overlapping to a certain extent but also focusing on select aspects that the other doesn't delve as deeply into.

Possibly a very good book for a complete novice but this book is not supported with any references or research to follow up. I don't want to buy any medical book that is not supported with references.

Easy to read and understand.
Written with women in mind; would be better if a separate section addressing male concerns/considerations were added. Very American....as you'd expect from an American text!
