This does smash ice into tiny pieces so is perfect for my favourite cocktail I discovered in Kenya called Dawa (medicine) which contains vodka, lime, brown sugar, honey and crushed ice.My personal Ambrosia.I heartily recommend it.So yes this does the job well but it requires a fair bit of strength and coordination to stop it flying across the kitchen when the handle suddenly stops on a piece of ice.Hold it very firmly on the counter by pressing it down and spin the handle as if you are winding up an air raid siren and off you go.It is far cheaper than an automatic ice maker but is obviously far simpler.Very easy to clean and once you get the hang of it, it works great.

I bought this ice crusher to replace my previous identical ice crusher after about six months of intermittent use. It needed to be disposed of after the blades started to rust. I had a look for a more high-tech ice crusher, but have come back to this item, as I was really pleased with every other aspect of it, apart from the rusting. The above chamber allows enough ice to make a few cocktails. It's relatively easy to turn the handle and crush, but is quite noisy while doing so. The consistency of the crushed ice is great for cocktails, and isn't so small that it instantly melts and waters down the drink. Overall, this is a handy item, but with a limited lifespan.

Good value for money, really easy to use and produces the desired results... crushed ice!

Was hoping to find a cheap way to make slushies for the kids. Sadly this product smashes/chips to you end up with quite large jagged pieces of ice. Useab6in an adult drink but definitely not anywhere near a slushie. Needs a firm hold on top and tough handle to operate, only takes a few cubes at a time. I've paid similar and had a better product before.

I bought this item as a cheap solution to crushing ice for making cocktails. What i got was what i paid for. It is quite plasticy, the handle isn't of the greatest quality, it is quite hard work and it doesn't crush the ice as finely as i might have hoped. The good points are... It crushes ice and is reeeally cheap! U get what you paid for. Even if it breaks after a year it was worth every penny. If you want something that lasts a lifetime then you need to pay for it.

This ice crusher did what it was advertised to do for around three weeks, after which all ice it crushed was covered in brown rust. To remove this you would need to wash the ice. After 5 months it literally fell apart and the photo shows the source of the rust. . . . .. yuk! It is now in the bin.

the build of this is a little flimsy, and you feel that if you turn the handle too hard that his will just break.however it stands up to grinding the ice (just ok)however the crushing blades are not stainless (afaik), and you get rusty residue in the unit if you leave it wet.

Resistente naturalmente non va utilizzato incaponendosi e mettendoci tutta la forza, ma siccome trita girando in entrambi le direzioni va utilizzata diligenza quando un cubetto è molto duro basta invertire la rotazione della manopola e il gioco è fatto

It crushes the ice okay, but within two days of using it, I began to see brownish spots on the ice. Looking inside, I could see what looks like rust oozing up between the cutting blades and their white plastic housing. As long as I thoroughly rinse it several times while in use, it comes out okay, but all in all, it's not very convenient.

Cooles Ding! Funktioniert einwandfrei-doch leider fehlte der 4. Standfuß (eine Gumminoppe ). Es war nicht möglich diesen nachgeliefert zu bekommen und eine Rücksendung des ganzen Crushers schien mir aufgrund des geringen Preises nicht sinnvoll.Auch wenn er jetzt "schief" steht, erfüllt er dennoch seinen Zweck.Preis-Leisung sehr gut!
