First of all, the plug on the mains lead supplied with my smart charger was a normal 13A mains plug with a 3A plug fuse fitted, so it's electrically safe! So, clearly the manufacturer has listened to the comments made by some previous reviewers.I decided to try 9V Li-Ion batteries in my sonic cat repeller, which gets through so many batteries that normal 9V Lithium smoke alarm ones are not economical. On the other hand, standard NiMH batteries stop working in the cold weather, and have been known to leak, so these aren't much good either. The first thing I noticed about these batteries, is how light they are- each one is around 28g. They come packaged in a neat translucent plastic box, which is a nice touch. They have a high capacity of 650mAh, and low self-drain, so they should last a long time between charges. I'm hoping the cold weather performance will be similar to standard Lithium batteries, and that they'll continue to work even if the temperature falls below 0° Centigrade.The charger is small and neat, and only a little bigger than the two batteries side-by-side. On inserting the batteries and powering up, the LED-bar shines red. Charge time for 600mAh batteries is around 3 hours, after which time the LED turns green. If the display flashes red/green, this indicates a bad battery. If the batteries prove to be resistant to cold, I will try one in my Cat-Mate cat flap as well- it should last well over a year. I've also tried my charger with another make of Li-Ion battery (EBL 600 mAh), and it works fine with these too.I'm very pleased with my purchase, which arrived within 2 days of ordering.

Good value does the job you can charge 1 or 2 batteries at a time has red/green lights to indicate when the batteries are fully charged the 9V 650mAh Li-ion Rechargeable Batteries are very light which come in a plastic case for storage when not in use, the charger comes with a 3 pin UK plug, I'm using my batteries in a ultrasonic cat repellent which takes 2 and normal batteries don't seem to last long so will up date soon with how long the batteries last.What's in BoxBattery Charger x 1AC charging cable x19V Lithium batteries x 2User ManualSo far happy and would recommend.Please click on the “Yes” button below if this review has been helpful thank yo

Arrived on time & seems to be working fine, I have only had it a week so I can't give more than 4 stars without longer tests but charged several batteries & so far seems to be a good little charger. Nice bright led's for charging & charge complete.

While I am extremely pleased with the batteries and charger unit, I am extremely concerned by the plug moulded to the mains lead supplied with this device. The average socket in the UK is normally able to supply 32 amps and for this reason the standard for square pin plugs includes provision of a fuse, maximum rating 13 amps. This plug has no fuse and can not therefore conform to BS1363 (the standard covering 13 amp mains plugs in the uk).

As described but be careful - if you scale down to two batteries you'll get 2x 350mah NiMH batteries not the 600mah LI ones.
