LagunaPowerJet 2200 Fountain Pond Pump

I've only just set this up due to the cold weather, it's past its 30 day return period, and it doesn't work. It is really lacking in power. The fountain only reaches about 1-2" high maximum and when the fountain is turned off only a trickle of water comes out of the 25mm pipe so does not work for a waterfall either, plus it keeps trying to float to the surface as has no weight in it at all, also the fountain piece keeps falling over and won't stay pointing upwards. I went onto the laguna website to look for help, but there is no way of contacting anyone. I'm really upset that I spent money on this and if doesn't work, I can't get any advice and can't return it. Rubbish! I was really careful to read reviews before buying this and was expecting good things. I'm really disappointed with this product. An update. I decided to look inside the casing to see if I could see what, was wrong and the whole thing was smashed up as everything is made of plastic. I checked on their site for spare parts, but they don't do spares for the smashed parts, I can't even buy a complete new motor as they no longer make them. So be warned if yours is fine when you buy it, great, but if anything goes wrong you won't be able to replace bits only buy a whole new unit! As I was out of the Amazon 30 day return period I thought I'd check manufacturer warranty and it's 3 years but not if items are damaged in transit. So all I can do is buy a new pump. I shall not be investing in a Laguna one for sure!

Robust materials, well made and does what it says on the tin. It might be a smaller sized pump but more than enough for a small to medium sized pond. For me I've used it for a two-in-one purpose in that the outlet pipe is fed into a filter container with filter sponges and separators that feed back into the pond - and this set up supports this and works perfectly for collecting debris inside the container and pumping water out and through the filter set up back into the pond for crystal clear water. Job done!

I bought this pump as a direct replacement for one I’d had for about three years and I’d been really pleased with. The old one didn’t fail as such but one night, some animal ( I suspect a fox) chewed through the cable too close to the waterline for me to repair. We use the pump to supply a s my all water cascade about 60cm above the pond level and simultaneously provide a fountain. It comes with parts for a fountain rose or and umbrella of water. I use the latter as it’s less prone to clogging with pond weed. The pump has plenty of power for my purposes and I’d certainly recommend it.

Pump looks good, I was disappointed to find it was supplied with a 2 pin Euro plug. No use in the UK!!My concern is the 3 year warranty. With the 2pin plug I am unable to test it works, if I fit a 3pin plug and it does not work then what?The star rating is based on it's looks and speed of delivery only.

Was surprised that this pump was not able to pump water up through my very small 0.5m waterfall feature as well as provide enough water to the built in feature. I’m not sure why it has dual function if only 1 works at a time.

I have given this 3 star at present. The reason being apart from a very quick delivery from ordering the item ,it came without a PLUG. I have not been able to go and buy one, so it has not been used yet, to check its performance or at least if it works.

We use this to run a fountain into a pond then down a stream and into a second pond with power to spare that the fountain application on the pump can be used as well at the same time.

I have been using Laguna pond pumps for many years and have proved very reliable are easy to dismantale to clean.
