I’m a convert! BUT stinky stinky display case!
Ok - criticism first. 1) There are loads of keys in this set, and stoppers, but not enough cables for my liking.2) The case STINKS! I mean STINKS! I honestly thought it was me, that I’d suddenly developed foul bad breath that wouldn’t go, no matter how much I cleaned my teeth! Seriously - and yes, I laugh too now! Then I twigged that my ‘breath’ only stank when I knitted! I ended up washing the needles and leaving the cases in my conservatory for a week, my windows wide open each day, drenching the cases repeatedly with the stuff you use to remove pet odours from furniture (begins with ‘fe’ and second syllable rhymes with trees!) One week led to two.... finally, it was bearable, though the scent is still there, faintly.I have always been a huge advocate of bamboo needles. I’ve never been fond of Knit Pro and hated & Symfonie set which I had coveted for months & was bought as a gift: the cables kept coming loose as I knitted & I found the needles uncomfortable to handle. But I loved cheap fixed bamboo needles & have probably 40 or more pairs in various sizes & cable lengths (they are REALLY cheap if bought from Hong Kong!)Then I tried Zing! Oh my....Firstly, I love the colours throughout the range and that each size needle has its own colour. But, more importantly, they feel heavenly! Yes, they’re noisier and that might bug the people you live with BUT they’re cool in the hand on hot days, and they’re so smoooooooooth! Stitches just glide...I’ve never liked knitting in the round because of the irritation of keep having to interrupt the knitting flow to spread the stitches more evenly across the needles. However, on these needles, there’s just no need to do that: stitches just glide smoothly along as you continue knitting, no purses needed! That, for me, is a revelation! I can finally tackle the ‘in the round’ projects that I’ve always fancied but decided I couldn’t do because of the frustration. I’m so excited that I no longer have the disappointment of seeing a pattern I really admire - only to see it’s knitted in the round so won’t suit me!I should add that I get severe hand pain and have arthritis, which does factor into all of the above. These needles mean I can knit for longer without pain. Did I mention how they glide?!Any size feels good - I’ve just knitted an intarsia project with super chunky yarn (VW cushion) - oh boy! 5 ‘mini’ balls of superchunky in one row! But it was much easier, thanks to these needles. However, the double-point Zing set that I own (also in a stinky case!) have 2mm needles and they’re comfy too! I’ve found thin needles painful before but not these ones. However, Knitpro - DO PLEASE FIX THE STINK!!

Revitalised my passion for knitting
Excellent products, well made no rough surfaces, tips not too long or too short for normal knitting , this brand make some real quality knitting equipment. If you are looking to knit small items look at knitpro short tips. Have introduced a friend to these and she is finally enjoying knitting. This kit makes travelling with knitting so much easier as well, the caps allow storage of individual parts easy, I am already adding additional cables to my collection. Excellent price for an excellent kit.

Quality set
Very nice set. The needles look great with the different colours per size. They feel nice too.The case is very efficient, smart and compact. I have not noticed a strong odour like some of the other reviews mentioned. The internal pouch is very handy. It is very handy to have multiple chords and stoppers, though the cables included are the basic plastic ones that don't swivel, which is a bit of a shame for the price. The cables tend to curl quite a bit. The plastic stoppers feel very cheap, but they do the job.

Great set of needles
I have used the KnitPro Zing DPNs and they are great. I have been using interchangeable needles for the past few years and cannot go back to straight needles - they feel cumbersome and the knitted work feels much heavier. With interchangable the work is distributed more evenly between the two needles. I have seen some review regarding the noise from the Zings - I don't agree! There is some clicking but definitely not as much as with straight needles and there is noise with wooden and acrylic needles too. I decided to move from wooden needles as they tend to bend and if you dog jumps up on you knitting with his big hairy paws the needles can break. (smaller needles 3.5mm and lower!) Lesson learned. However the Zings are smooth and sleek and lightweight and the colour coding is a real plus. I have some Knitpro Nova tips and spend most of my time finding 3mm needles among 2.5mm and 3.5mm the difference is so minute and they are not marked. Which is another plus with the Zings.

Great set for a reasonable price
So, I've waited to write this, so that I could give a fully used and tested review.I'm now a couple of months using these and I can honestly say I love them.I did a fair bit of research before buying and am glad I opted for these.Having read reviews where people complained of needles coming loose or not fitting correctly, I tested every (or at least most!) combinations on opening the set to ensure all wires and needles were compatible. All but one cord fitted seamlessly and even then the one that was iffy was a short cord and it did fit, it was just a bit out.I have three WIPs with these at the moment and all have worked perfectly so far.I would definitely recommend these and at a fraction of the price of many out there I'm glad I opted for these.I will add, that I needed a 3mm needle for an item I had already started and recently ordered a single 3mm set to add to the full set and it's with this I've had some issues. The needles connect okay, but don't stay tight, even using the wee 'key'. Not a big issue, I just retighten every few rows to ensure there's no mishaps, but I stress this has only happened with the extra needle and not once has it happened with the main needles from the set.
