screws are for decoration only
This certainly does the job. It is a nice heavy metal mute covered in rubber. It stays on the violin and the sound is very quiet, but good. However, I think that it is too expensive for what it is and the only reason I was willing to spend on it was because I thought that the screws made it adjustable. In fact they are there only for decoration.

Viola mute
Unable to put it on the bridge of Yamaha viola at all. Tried to open slots a bit more with a screwdriver but unsuccessfully.I will try to shave off some of the rubber , like other reviewer suggested.This is all in all unacceptable , especially given the price.
