Worked great with coax over two floors and AT&T fiber
Connected one adapter in my basement from my AT&T fiber gateway and another to my mesh router on my 2nd floor, worked perfectly with the full 500mbps connection

Dead out of the box
Did not work out of the box. Power light would turn on for a few seconds and then turn off. I tried a power adapter from another unit that is currently working and it’s the same thing. I called ASUS support and then wanted me to pay to return it to them. I said no way I will just return through Amazon and not have to pay for shipping. It’s dead out of the box. It’s unfortunate I have two units from a two pack and they work great. I just wanted to add one more connection and hence purchased this. But they don’t work.

Great Fiber to Coax adapter
Recently, we had fiber to the home service installed and needed a way to connect the fiber modem/router to the existing coax line running to our home office (previously used for cable internet). This Asus ethernet to coax adapter met that requirement. In this configuration, you'll need two (2) units - one connected to the fiber modem/router and another connected to your wireless router/switch in your chosen room, as shown in the pictures. Simple install - made all connections, connected power supplies, it started up and transmitted our internet flawlessly.

I have 3 of them, tested every 10 seconds for a month, working great!
There are many other products that are certified to do the same. However, this model has a button to replace an tiny adapter in case you use cable Internet. I also use the coax angle bracket that is provided with it.

No support, poor instructions—thought it was defective but figured it out! Read if it won't pair.
I'm a big fan of Asus but this experience was aggravating...I ordered the Asus XC5 and two of these adapters solely because it's one of the routers with MoCA built-in. Originally I ordered two Hitron MoCA adapters ($20 cheaper per pair thinking MoCA was standardized) but those were not compatible due to the Asus MPS security so I ordered 2x MA-25 adapters next. I plugged in included coax cable to the router and the MA-25 and powered it up but the 3x led's would illuminate briefly then turn off. I pressed the MPS pairing on the router, pressed the pair button on the MA-25 but nothing. I cycled the power, pressed the pair buttons again, nothing. Rebooted the router, same thing. I tried multiple times and then called Asus support but they had NO idea what MoCA was nor what this device did. They wanted me to add it to the router as a node. After 10 minutes of explaining their product to them they said 'sounds like it's defective' so I returned and re-ordered.Next order, same thing! What did I miss? I HAD TO PLUG IN AN ETHERNET DEVICE FOR IT TO PAIR.1-Plug in the coax cable to both devices2-Plug an ethernet device (laptop, PC, etc) to the adapter3-Power up the adapter and wait for the middle led to remain steady4-Press the pair button on the router (I assume the 2nd MoCA device if you're using these end to end)5-Enjoy ethernet backhaul speeds and reliability (at least I hope long term)I don't know why this is necessary nor why it's not specified in the instructions. This was so frustrating that this simple detail would've saved me so much time.

Got this to see if it would work with Xfinity Moca.
Worked as described..

MoCA adapter doesn’t work with Verizon Fios
I’m sure this is a fine moca adapter for a lot of networks but it does NOT communicate at all with Fios 2.5 moca-capable Gigabit Routers in the CR1000 line. There is a frequency mismatch between the coax signal output by the Fios router and the signal that would be transmissible by the Asus MoCA 2.5 Adapter. An Actiontec MoCA adapter works because that’s what Verizon rebranded to sell themselves. Sadly, the Asus unit is useless if you have Verizon Fios.
