Helpful for anyone with tremors or problems with their hands/fingers. Also, grips tray & doesn’t slide when you are trying to get your food on your spoon or fork.

I'd rate the plates a "5" if they were scratch proof. They work well, are definitely non-slip; helpful for dementia, Parkinson's patients. However, if you cut up food for the user, you'll need to do so on a separate plate then transfer to this plate. These are not "scratch/knife" proof.

This is perfect for anyone who has trouble getting good on utensils. makes like easier b/c independence isn’t lost.

Do not place in a dishwasher. We hand washed this plate but once put it in the top rack of the dishwasher & the rubber ring fell right out & it doesn't snap back. The material is too soft even for a butter knife so cut all the food before sliding it onto the plate. The design is generic like a lot of others & works well. The size while smaller than normal dish plates is belig enough for regular meals.

I bought this one for a few reasons. 1) Similar scoop plates I looked at didn't have a curved "scooped" edge like this one does. Others had taller flat edges instead. With a taller flat edge, food might get pushed up, up, and over the side of a flat edge. I think the curved edge is an important part of getting the food onto a spoon or fork. 2) The size of this is good for us. It's not a huge plate, but it's big enough. I'm happy with the size. Measure some of your regular plates and see what you think. I would not call this tiny, like some other plates I read about. 3) I like that there's a flat outer rim to hold the plate by, so other people's fingers do not go inside the plate while carrying and gripping the plate. I wasn't sure I'd like the blue color, and I originally wanted white, but you know what? If you're buying this for someone who's living at a facility, the blue will help the kitchen find it better and faster! So that ended up being a plus! :) The 2 pack is also helpful in case one is in the dishwasher. Overall I like these. They're working well.

This is part of my car kit for camping , & fishing. Strong & sturdy and with the sides it holds lots of food like stews, with out spilling .

Hopefully, they'll work OK. They're much lighter than I thought, but seem to be ok on rubber grip underneath.
