Great way to start off drawing (scribbling). In terms of quality, these crayons outdo other brands hands down! You can drop them endless times, put them into the kids' hands and they survive it all!

I bought these crayons for my toddler's stocking last Christmas. Even though my toddler rarely puts things in his mouth, I felt safe knowing that these crayons are made of beeswax. They are easier for my child to hold due to their thickness, and they have proven to be durable over the past year despite my energetic toddler. While the colors do tend to mix when stored together, I find that the natural pigments give the crayons a more subdued, but still lovely, appearance. Unlike traditional crayons, which often end up in pieces within seconds, these crayons have remained intact. I highly recommend them to other parents, especially those with young children who are just beginning to use crayons!

We bought those coloring sticks almost 7 months ago for our then 12 month old. First thing he tried to do with them - put in the mouth as most of his age kids would do. Fortunately the taste was not pleasing him, so it did not take us long to explain yucky and yammy to the boy. Even the coloring sticks labeled as safe and natural, we would not encourage biting them, so it would not becomes a habit when we start to use less safe coloring markers and sticks. He like the smell though, so he often sniffs the honesticks, though we are not sure if he just lean it from our family dog. The smell in my opinion is natural and light, not overpowered, I do not feel anything chemical in that, it is rather pleasant.The honesticks we bought are still alive and now almost 18 months old is still using them. Now for drawing lines and trying to draw curcles, so they survived all rough play, biting and throwing and being stepped on.The thickness, size and triangular form - all are great for his little hands, so the sticks are really easy to use. We could not convince our toddler to scribble while sitting, even we have little table and chair for him, so he does it laying down on the floor. Now he is more engaged in coloring, so uses the honesticks often.The only thing which could be better - the sticks colors appearance, they are 'dimmed' outside, though it is a bit hard to lean colors by picking definite one from the box. Some sticks are so dark outside that looks like the same color, while they are not. When used on paper, the colors are actually quite bright and recognizable.

These crayons are perfect for my almost 2 year old daughter. Always used with supervision, she can hold them well, they color smoothly, the colors are pretty, they smell good and clean up easy too. A little on the spendy side BUT I appreciate the cleaner ingredients compared to other brands. They have also held up well to being dropped and thrown across the room during toddler fits lol

These are super easy to use and the colors are great. I love that they are eco friendly and safe for toddlers. It’s such a great value for the money spent!

My daughter is a year and a half and trying to color. These are a great shape and easier for her to hold without breaking. The colors show up nicely and they are easy to put away. I’d recommend this to any family since the limited colors avoids decision complications for the little ones and the shape makes them easier to hold for little ones learning to hold pencils/pens/crayons properly.

I bought these for my 14-month old granddaughter and they are perfect for her darling little hands!The chubby triangular shape make them easy to hold and manipulate and are not easy to break.That they are made with beeswax gives them a lovely scent but be aware that the colors are not nearly as intense nor saturated as the brand in the famous green and yellow box. But they are a terrific introduction to drawing for any and all "littles."

I purchased these for a young toddler because of the beeswax material and because I liked that they were made in New Zealand. Although they are a nice gripping shape for a toddler and smells like honey, it underachieves in the most important aspect of a crayon: color. It is hard to see what color each crayon is when you pick it up, especially with the darker colors, and the color payoff on paper is splotchy and poor.If you really want a natural crayon option for a very young child, right now, who still mouths everything, this may be a good option. However, if you prefer a vibrant, high quality set of crayons that will bring joy for years, I'd recommend a set like the Japanese Sakura Coupy Pencil crayons, especially at this price point.
